ActionAid Myanmar (AAM) will host a post-budget round table discussion on 24th May,2015 from 9.00 to 12.30 at the UMFCCI function Hall according to a recent press release.
ActionAid Myanmar (AAM) has been working on economic literacy and public service financing in order to ensure pro-poor budget , participatory bottom up planning and strengthening the capacity of different institutions both state and non-state actors in Myanmar.
AcionAid has been funded by various development partners including DANIDA and SIDA to support the reform process for just and democratic governance in Myanmar,  and strengthen democratic institutions and and promote active citizenship.
It has alreadyorganised budget round table stakeholder discussion in 2013 and 2014 in order to stimulate the wider discussion between different stakeholders on national budgeting processes. There are normally two different round table discussions before the budget law is approved (pre-budget discussion) and after the budget is approved (post-budget discussion).
The discussion will be participatory with the wider representation of Government officials, CSOs, UN/INGOs, Parliament members, Political Parties, Private Sectors, Media, academia and concerned citizens.
