The Myoma Police training school on the corner of Bo Son Pat Road and Mann Bakhine Road, in (36) Ward, North Dagon Township, Yangon Region was attacked during a pre-graduation ceremony for police trainees at around 7 p.m. on 7 March.

Locals confirmed that they heard a series of bomb blasts and gunshots near the police training school.

“I heard the sound of bomb blasts. It was very loud. I heard it three or four times. But there are not many houses there. There are government offices, temples and football stadiums”, a local said.

The attack was reportedly conducted jointly by the People’s Force and the Spring Brother Force.

Another attack was carried out with a 40mm grenade launcher because the policemen came out from their training school while fighting with hand grenades. The attack was stopped at half way through the operation to ensure the safety of civilians, the statement said.

“ We did not get our expected target because there were a series of civilian convoys while our two allied forces were on a mission. We would like to request the public to stay away if they hear something is strange as civilians are our first priority. Casualties will be reported soon and our revolution must win”, an officer from Spring Brother Force said.

According to the statement from the People's Force, there were many casualties on the military council side from the attack on the police training school.
