The Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) office at the corner of Yangon’s Si Pin Road and Thayet Chaung Road in Ward 25, of South Dagon Township, was attacked with a grenade at around 1:10 p.m. on 14 February, according to the South Side Underground People Defense Force (PDF).

Similarly, another hand grenade attack took place at the No. 70 Ward Administration Office on Hlawkar Road, Ward 70, in South Dagon Township at 5.20 p.m. on 14 February.

"The ward administration office will be severely damaged. Administrators and heads of households could be seriously injured because a grenade went off in the office. Notorious Dalans (military informants) also sit together there every night there, that’s why we attacked the ward administration office", said the South Side Underground PDF.

Apparently, the operation was conducted because the informants were oppressing the civilian population from the No.70 Ward Administration Office.

The USDP office was bombed as an act of revenge because at the time of protests the people were followed on motorcycles and arrested or called to the office and arrested After the explosion, about ten military junta vehicles arrived on the scene to investigate. There are likely to have been casualties.
