U Zaw Win Tun, the former chairperson of Arakan Patriot Party (APP), was arrested by a group of gunmen in civilian clothes in front of the primary school in Ohetan Ward of Sittway Township, according to his younger brother Ko Tun Linn.

The victim was taken in a car when he brought his daughter back to school for afternoon classes after lunch time, said the witnesses.
