A alleged leader of Pyu Saw Htee group, U Aung Kyi Thein (also called Saw Phoe Khwar) and his son Nga Ye (also called Ko Zaw Lin Oo) were shot dead while returning from a cockfighting ring on a motorcycle in Hlegu township, Yangon region, according to locals.

The shooting took place near the Aziwa bus stop, Kyun Kale village, at around 5PM on December 22.

"They were shot on a motorcycle near Aziwa bus stop while returning home from a cockfighting ring. Unidentified gunmen shot them. They were taken by ambulance. His son died on the spot. Saw Phoe Khwar died at the hospital”, an eyewitness said.
