Three election candidates from Myanmar's ruling National League for Democracy party were abducted Wednesday by an unknown armed group in the western state of Rakhine, AP reported quoting a party official.
Min Aung, a member of the Rakhine state parliament, Ni Ni May Myint, a lower house member of the national parliament, and Chit Chit Chaw, a candidate running for the national upper house, were abducted during a campaign trip to villages in Taungup township, NLD party official Monywa Aung Shin said.
