An unidentified group opened fire on a Tatmadaw convoy returning to Pathein township along the Chaungtha-Pathein highway in Pathein township, Ayeyarwady region on November 15, according to locals.

There were about eight military vehicles in the convoy. A Local said the attack took place near Taungtharya, Chauk Kaung Village on Chaungtha-Pathein Road.

According to a local resident, after the Tatmadaw attack about 40 military vehicles and police cars with full arms and forces were seen driving to Chaungtha township.
