A suspected junta informant, or Dalan, in Paungde Township was killed by a local militia group on 2 July.

The Bago Defence Forces made a statement on its social media that they shot and killed Aung San Win (a) Gyitpway who ran a liquour shop in Hantharkan Ward.

It is alleged the man was giving secret information about anti-military movements to the junta, the statement said.

A local said, “Soldiers frequently visited this mam’s house. It was known that he treated them with liquors and that he gave secret information about anti-junta activists.”

Aung Zaw Latt (a) Za Latt, the local administrator of Gyokone village-tract in the same township, was shot dead to the head on 30 June.
