A staff officer of State-owned broadcast media, MRTV, died from COVID-19 on 12 July while 30 colleagues tested positive, an employee told Mizzima.

On 9 July, 11 new cases were confirmed among staff members of Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV).

After contact tracing about 30 others tested positive.
