The Military Council

  • According to the junta newspaper, the 6th consignment of 4 million doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines arrived.
  • Dr. Charlie Than, the junta minister of Industry, told staff that local and international investors would be invited for cooperation in factories and workshops under the Ministry, and they would make an effort for the success of a public-private partnership.
  • According to the junta newspaper, U Kyaw Min Yu or Ko Jimmy, a leader of 88 Peace and Transparency Organization, would be charged with 6 sections, under the accusation of carrying out terrorism.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that he believed in the patriotism of ethnic people, based on true union spirit, to overcome any challenges faced by the nation and the people.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • NLD CEC announced on Monday that they, in cooperation with the public, would carry on to get power back to the people, put an end to the military slavery and build a federal democratic union.
  • Ministry of Women, Youth and Children- NUG announced that they had been paying very special attention to social security, safety and freedom from pressure of the government staff who joined the CDM.
  • The NUG announced that 24 responsible personnel of the Social Welfare Department, including director-general and directors, were dismissed permanently for their unethical activities such as threatening, dismissing and putting pressure on CDM staff.
  • Ministry of Defence- NUG announced that 2 soldiers and 2 policemen made contact on Monday to join the public as they no longer wanted to serve the military junta.

Revolution Activities

  • Ma Thinzar Zaw, a 3rd-year Chemistry student and member of Dagon University Students’ Union, was sentenced to 10 years in prison at the junta court on Monday, under Section (124- B).
  • In Kunchangone Township of Yangon Region, Mg Zin Wai Aung, a young villager of Daydanaw aged 19, was killed by the junta army in the investigation. According to local residents, his parents were informed on Monday to come to his funeral.
  • In South Okkalapa Township, there were two bomb explosions at the electricity office at about 5:40 am Monday.
  • In Maha Aungmye Township of Mandalay Region, a hundred-household leader on 91 street between 39 and 40 streets in Seinban Ward, was shot dead on the spot at about 7:30 am Monday.
  • On Monday, a combined rally of Maha Aungmye Township marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Mandalay, a poster was hung at a police booth on Monday- ‘May all PDFs be safe whereas all junta dogs die’. Protesters also threw red paint at the booth and scattered anti-junta brochures on the streets.
  • In Pyi of Bago Region, the junta army arrested Ko Soe Thura Aung, a CDM teacher and resident of Hmawzar village, by force at about 6:00 pm Sunday.
  • In Bago, there was a bomb explosion at the electricity office at about 5:30 pm Monday.
  • According to CDF Matupi, they attacked the junta armed forces on their way from Matupi to Paletwa between 3rd and 5th November. Reportedly, 16 junta soldiers died and 14 others were injured.
  • In Katha Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army shot mortars into Moetale village. According to local residents, houses were on fire and thousands of villagers had to run away.
  • On Pale-Gantgaw road, a troop of junta soldiers on foot was attacked with 35 mines near Wambegaint village. According to the People’s Revolution Army, 34 junta soldiers died and over 30 others were injured.
  • In Monywa Township, the junta army raided Paukbin village on the side of Monywa-Amyint road on Sunday night and shot dead Ma Mya Lay Nwe, a female villager aged 28.
  • As 274-day protest, Kalay people marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • In a village of Wetlet Township, a rally of students’ union conducted a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • In Kani Township, local people marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Monday, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • At about 10:00 am Monday, a combined force of 4 PDFs shot at the irrigation office in Monywa, where the junta army had been stationing. According to local residents, 4 junta soldiers were hit with bullets in their heads and died.
  • In Tantsi Township, Ko Chit Po and Ma Moe Lwin, husband and wife who were allegedly junta informers in Thayetkone village, were shot dead at about 7:00 pm Sunday.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a march for the NUG and against the military dictatorship on Monday morning.
  • As 243-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Monday morning, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, youth and students expressed their desire against the military dictatorship on Monday morning.
  • In Pha-Kant Township of Kachin State, local people showed their support for the result of the 2020 General Election on its one-year anniversary. They also marched for KIA, PDFs and NUG as well as for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • In Tilin, all 30 staff members of the township education office resigned starting from 4th November.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • Two military vessels carrying junta soldiers left Mandalay for Katha. Reportedly, there were battles against KIA and PDFs near Moetale village in the upper part of Katha.
  • In Kokang area of Shan North, the junta army made invasive attacks at Kyingawtit camp of MNDAA in recent days. According to the Kokang newspaper, dead bodies of junta soldiers and their weapons were confiscated in battle areas.
  • In Mutraw District under the control of KNU Regiment (5), there have been battles every day due to the invasion of the junta armed forces. On 4th and 5th November, there were 11 battles; 5 in Butho Township and 6 in Dwelo Township. Reportedly, 8 junta soldiers died and 17 others were injured.

Summary on 9th November

  • In Sagaing Region with powerful PDFs, the military junta have to face a great loss daily. As for the junta armed forces, they have been committing war crimes, including arrests and attacks on civilians. Such crimes were found in Sagaing and Kunchangone of Yangon on Monday. Those junta armed forces must be held accountable for their action.
  • As for Sagaing, they had public protests as well as guerrilla attacks and junta-informer clearance operations. In Yangon, Mandalay, Bago and Dawei, there were a few such activities.
