The Military Council

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that with first priority for self-sufficiency, surpluses would be produced as frozen meat and finished products for export.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that an armed coastguard was established to protect maritime resources and security.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing signed the amendment of Foreign Currency Management Law.
  • The National Unity Government (NUG)
  • Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG announced that the interim administration committee of the CDM People’s Police Force was established.
  • The NUG announced that there were 11 soldiers and 11 policemen who made contact to join the public on Wednesday.
  • Acting President of the NUG called on soldiers and police to leave the military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing and join the public as soon as possible.

Revolution Activities

  • On Thursday, a rally of Kalay General Strike led a protest against the military dictatorship.
  • In Minkin Township of Sagaing Region, there was a fighting between the junta army and PDFs at about 8:00 am Thursday. According to local residents, 14 junta soldiers died and the others ran around like headless chickens.
  • In Myaung Township, junta soldiers in 7 military trucks raided Mintan village at about 10:00 am Thursday and set fire to public’s houses. According to local residents, they also shot dead 3 people who came to put out the fire.
  • In Pauktaw village of Myaung Township, Aung Kyaw Myo and Pho Kyaw worked for the military junta as informers and challenged local PDFs. They also threatened local residents and thus they were killed by a combined force of MSPDF and Mgn Ranger on Wednesday morning.
  • On Thursday morning, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • On Thursday morning, Monywa people protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Pale Township, there was a fighting between a combined force of People’s Revolution Army-PRA+Pale PDF Headquarters and the junta army near Ledama village at about 9:00 am Wednesday. Reportedly, a member of PRA lost his life and 3 junta soldiers were seriously injured.
  • In Shwebo Township, local residents of a village marched in support of the NUG on Thursday morning, chanting slogans for the victory of EAOs and PDFs in every battle.
  • In Myaing Township of Magwe Region, Htay Aung, allegedly an informer to the junta, was found dead between Badaukkan and Nyaungbintha villages at about 12:00 pm Wednesday.
  • In Myaing Township, Basic Education General Strike Committee, in cooperation with the public from south west zone, marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Thursday morning.
  • Despite internet blackout by the military junta in Myaing Township, Basic Education General Strike Committee and the public from west zone conducted a night strike against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • After PDF warned all administrators from Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region to resign, almost every administrator did so.
  • In Pha-Kant of Kachin State, over 1000 people protested against the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • In Paung Township of Mon State, Khin Mg Oo, pro-military person and patron of YMBA, was shot dead on Thursday morning.
  • In Muse of Shan State, a hand-made bomb exploded near the border trade staff housing on Thursday morning. According to local residents, some gunmen opened fire and blew up a bomb at Muse 105 inspection gate.
  • On Thursday morning, a combined rally of Mandalay Maha Aungmye marched for the end of the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Kawmu Township of Yangon Region, there was a fighting between local PDF and the junta armed forces. According to local sources, a junta soldier died and 6 others were injured.
  • On Wednesday night, there were bomb explosions in Ward (4) of Mayangone Township, at the foot of Aungzayya Bridge in Insein Township and in Mingaladone Township. Reportedly, two people were injured.
  • In South Dagon Township, there was a bomb explosion in Ward (22) at about 5:00 am Thursday and 7 gunshots were heard in Ward (25). At about 6:49 am, a bomb exploded at Kwayma housing.
  • Amidst tight security measures on a Yangon tour of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, there was a bomb explosion at Shwegonedine traffic lights at about 12:15 pm Thursday.
  • In Thonekwa Township, local PDF set off explosions at the township electricity department and revenue office as a sign of warning at about 4:40 am Thursday.
  • In Loikaw Township of Karenni State, the junta army opened fire wildly on Wednesday night. Reportedly, U Tun Aung died and 8 people were injured.
  • Nay Pyi Taw PDF announced that they had conducted a surprise attack at 20 junta soldiers stationing in Makaythi inspection booth near Taungmyint Yebu village in Pyinmana Township at about 5:00 pm Wednesday. Reportedly, 6 junta soldiers died.
  • Nay Pyi Taw PDF announced on Wednesday that they had carried out a bomb attack at the house of Bullet Hla Swe in Poatba Thiri Township on Monday.
  • According to a spokesperson of Bogalay PDF, they had blown up a MyTel telecom tower in Malaut village of Phyapone District at about 3:00 am Thursday.
  • In Mandalay, people’s defence guerrilla group named Generation Z power (GZP) has been established since 27th March. They announced on Wednesday that they had been doing underground revolution activities.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • According to KNDO, there were three mine explosions in Phapun District of Kayin State on Tuesday. Reportedly, 9 junta soldiers died and 4 others were injured.
  • According to KNU, Tin Win from junta BGF regiment (1014) met with village heads and pagoda trustees from Pha-Ang Township on Sunday and instructed them to take turns for administration with 15-day or 1-month leaders.
  • From 4th to 6th October, there were 5 battles between the junta armed forces and MNDAA. Reportedly, a member of MNDAA lost his life and another one was injured. The casualty was still unknown on the side of the military junta.
  • On Wednesday, there were battles between KIA and the junta armed forces strengthening manpower in Kachin State. Reportedly, more than 10 junta soldiers died and 4 others were injured, including military officers.
  • According to RCSS, there were heavy battles between SSPP and RCSS in 4 townships - Kyaukme and Thepaw townships in Shan North and Kyaythi and Maikai townships in Shan South.
  • On Thursday, KNDF showed photos of female members of Phekone Force, who turned from peaceful protests to armed revolution against the military dictatorship.

Summary on 7th October

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing keeps talking about the development of production. On the other hand, those products are likely to end up at a loss as negotiations cannot be made yet to reopen the China border trade camps which play an important role in trade.
  • Reportedly, there were fewer protests against the military dictatorship. Instead, there were more activities of guerrilla revolution.
  • As for the military junta at risk of giving up Sagaing, they have conducted an internet blackout and human rights violations to regain control of the region.
