The National Unity Government (NUG)

· In a government meeting, the Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La stated that they would proceed one wave after another from the defensive war to battles to seize towns and the nation.

· Union Prime Minister Man Win Khine Than stated that most people began to accept the fact that the military junta is in no way able to resist the great momentum of the People’s Defensive War and the People’s Revolution.

· On Tuesday, the Ministry of Defence- NUG released a video in which the PDFs and their allied forces had taken control of Kawlin on 6 November and they had raised the PDF flag.

· According to Kawlin Revolution Team, they have already rescued all the people trapped in Kawlin Town which is under full control of the NUG. They have not allowed the townspeople to return home due to air strikes and heavy artillery by the junta army.

· The Acting President Duwa Lashi La stated that the people had clearly witnessed the benefit of the coordinated operations with ethnic armed organisations (EAOs) and it was time to be able to set the highest military record in the history of the Spring Revolution.

· In honor of all of those involved in the battle to get hold of the town of Kawlin in Sagaing Region, the Presidential Office of the NUG released a congratulatory speech on Monday.

· According to the Ministry of Defence- NUG, a combined force of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and PDFs managed to gain full control of the town of Khanpet in Tamu Township of Sagaing Region on Tuesday.

Revolutionary Activities

· There was an attack on Thabyaysan Police Camp on the Yangon-Mandalay Highway. Reportedly, there were casualties.

· In Tamu Township of Sagaing Region, the revolutionary forces took control of Kanpet Town after attacking the last junta outpost.

· In Kani Township, KLG PDF managed to confiscate the two junta vessels going along the Chindwin River at about 10:00 pm on Monday.

· At a 1000-day protest, a large number of Kalay people showed their support for Operation 1027 on Monday night.

· In the northern part of Pale Township, there was a mine attack on a junta troop of messengers near Lettaunggyi Village. Reportedly, 10 junta soldiers died.

· In Chaung-U Township, 2 Pyu Saw Htee members were caught alive with guns and 6 others ran away in a battle at Mya Pale Inspection Gate.

· At the end of October, Daw Cho Cho was able to have an in-person visit with her husband U Win Myint, the President, in detention at Taungoo Prison.

· On Monday, the United Nations (UN) expressed its deep concern for the heavy fighting between the ethnic alliance and the junta army in Northern Myanmar.

· In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, the junta army fired mortars in Yelegyun Area on Monday. Reportedly, a person from Kaing Village was hit and lost their life.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· In Matupi Township in Chin State, there was a clash between local CDFs and a troop of 60 soldiers from the junta army Ka-La-Ya (140) on their way to invade Matupi on the Matupi-Hakha Road.

· CDF Matupi announced on Monday that two junta soldiers had defected to them with a gun and some bullets.

· In the town of Namkham in Northern Shan State, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) cleared off all the junta soldiers and militia members hiding in the compound of the pagoda in the downtown area.

· In the Kokang Area, the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) and the Arakan Army (AA) attacked and gained control of the junta’s strategic outpost on Tuesday.

The Military Council

· In a meeting with responsible personnel from the junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nong Rong, the Assistant Foreign Minister of China, told them to guarantee the security of Chinese residents on China-Myanmar border.

· In a Russia-Myanmar maritime military exercise, warplanes, helicopters and ships from both countries took part.

· In a meeting of the junta Myanmar Investment Commission on Monday, 8 existing investments in Myanmar have raised their capital.

· Myanmar and India signed three MOUs for projects worth 150,000 USD.

· The junta Ministry of Health announced that the students who got places at medical universities and related ones are to enroll in a timely manner.

· The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing called on the public to contribute to anti-terrorism, local stability and development.

Summary on 8 November

· As mentioned earlier- ‘The revolution will come one wave after another’, the PDFs and the EAOs have been able to control one town after another and one outpost after another.

· Only after being wildly violent across the country, the junta leader called for the public’s cooperation. In other words, it is a sign of loss for the military junta.
