The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG announced that it was not the first time the military junta had committed such a cowardly and rude crime and that there were many similar cases.
  • CRPH announced that violent crackdown on peaceful protesters was openly breaking provisions contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. They also expressed their strong condemnation against the military junta and servants who had been carrying out inhumane activities daily.
  • CRPH announced that they had been communicating with the international community to take necessary action against the military junta, including diplomatic affairs.
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights- NUG, strongly condemned the incident in which the junta armed forces had arrested peaceful young protesters by knocking them down with a car in Kyimyindine Township of Yangon Region, saying that it was such an inhumane act of terrorism.
  • Dr. Sasa, Minister of International Cooperations- NUG, condemned the incident in which blood-thirsty junta soldiers had killed unarmed and peaceful protesters in Yangon, saying that it was such an act of genocide.

Revolution Activities

In Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces have been leaving most police stations and camps as they dare not stay there. Reportedly, local PDFs destroyed such uninhabited places.

  • On Monday, Mandalay youth conducted a campaign on 62 Main Road, spreading brochures for the public’s participation in a silent strike on Global Human Rights Day, which would fall on 10th December.
  • In Natogyi Township, the junta army was attacked with remote mines by a combination of 27 Revolution Forces and Natogyi People Defence Force on Monday morning. Reportedly, 23 junta soldiers died and 17 others were injured.
  • On Monday morning, there were banner, sticker and poster campaigns at 3 different locations in the city, calling on the public to take part in Silent Strike on 10th December.
  • In Kayan Township of Yangon Region, the junta armed forces stationing at a police station and education office were attacked with 3 remote mines by local PDF at about 8:20 pm Sunday. According to local sources, 3 junta soldiers died and 7 others were injured.
  • In Sanchaung Township, the People’s Revolution Forces shot at No. (24) police station at about 8:00 pm Sunday. Reportedly, there were some casualties among junta soldiers.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township, the junta armed forces have been destroying the public’s houses, accusing them of being squatters. They even did the same by force on the land which had been occupied for generations.
  • According to CDM Police, military officer Naing Bo Bo, police officer Mg Mg Mya and second police officer Win Zaw Lwin led the violent crackdown in which peaceful protesters had been knocked down by a military car on Panbingyi Street in Kyimyindine Township.
  • After the junta army knocked down peaceful protesters to death by car in Yangon, the public banged pots and pans again at 8:00 pm Sunday, chanting words of bad language against Min Aung Hlaing and slogans against the military dictatorship.
  • In Kayan Township, local PDF conducted an attack with 40 MM bomb at the junta army stationing in the town police station and a departmental building at about 8:30 pm Sunday. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers and inquiries were being made for further detail.
  • At about 9:30 pm Sunday, the junta armed forces near Ward (9) administration office and military garment factory in Hlaingthaya Township were attacked with powerful bombs by
  • Spring Revolution Flames- SRF. Inquiries were being made for detail about casualties among junta soldiers.
  • In Dagon Seikkam Township, the junta armed forces were attacked with two remote bombs by Anti-Coup People’s Liberation Force in (61) Ward. Inquiries were being made for detail about casualties.
  • In Yangon, AJMM led a campaign near the market and bus stop with anti-junta posters and brochures.
  • On Monday, General Strike Committee released a statement saying that the military junta had committed murder and violence by killing and shooting at peaceful protesters in Kyimyindine Township and they had committed genocide and war crime again.
  • In Pha-Kant Township of Kachin State, local people showed that they stand with Yangon youth who had faced an inhumane crackdown by the military junta. They also expressed their support for KIA, PDF and NUG.
  • At about 11:00 am Monday, there was an explosion in front of the state court in Myitgyina. Reportedly, the court’s signboard and 3 nearby cars were damaged.
  • On Monday, local residents of Shan State conducted a protest against the military dictatorship, holding signs- ‘Fighting Yangon. We stand with you.’
  • As a 302-day protest, Kalay people marched up to Natchaung Road and protested against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • As a 271-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Monday, holding signs for Yangon.
  • In Kalay Township of Sagaing Region, Kalay Police Service was established with police members who had joined the CDM.
  • On Monday morning, Shwebo townspeople marched for the NUG and against the military dictatorship, chanting ‘Fighting Yangon! We are with you.’
  • In Mindat of Chin State, a mother of a 2-year-old child stepped over a landmine by the junta army and lost her life. Reportedly, the child lost her right leg and got injured in the head.
  • In Kyobinkauk Township of Bago Region, a couple in Kyisu Village, allegedly junta informers, were shot dead by local PDF.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • General Tun Myat Naing, Commander of AA, said that it was such a disgusting act of ogres, regarding the incident in which the junta armed forces had killed protesters by military truck in Kyimyindine Township of Yangon Region.
  • In Pha-An Township of Thatone District, KNU EC released a statement, containing 4 points that the public was to follow.

The Military Council

  • The junta newspaper said that the junta army had to split up a group of noise-makers on Panbingyi Street in Magyidan Ward of Kyimyindine Township in Yangon Region, according to a report by some people who did not desire chaos.
  • According to the junta newspaper, 4 male terrorists opened gunfire and set fire to a YBS bus in Dagon Myothit Seikkam Township.
  • State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi and President U Win Myint were each sentenced to four years in prison at the junta court.
  • The military junta arrested two journalists getting news about the Kyimyindine protest. Reportedly, a female journalist was seriously injured and although she had to receive medical treatment at a military hospital, her family could not see her yet.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing met with the chair and EC members of Multi-Religious Unity Organization.
  • According to the junta media, Aung Lin Dwe, secretary of the military council, attended the opening ceremony of the solar energy electricity plant in Thabyewa of Mandalay Region.

Summary on 7th December

  • After the violent crackdown of the junta armed forces on the Kyimyindine protest, the revolution gained momentum throughout the country and so did public protests. The inhumane murder of the military junta in public was known worldwide again. It was one of their undeniable war crimes.
  • Yangon PDFs took revenge on the violence of the military junta overnight. Likewise, revolutionists from all over the country strongly responded against them.
  • Like Kayah, Sagaing managed to establish a people’s police force, comprising CDM police. It highlights the collapse of the junta administration in the region. Moreover, more and more junta police ran away and consequently, there were more uninhabited police stations and camps in Upper Sagaing.
