The National Unity Government (NUG)

· On Thursday, Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG conducted conflict management training (7/2023) for the Township People’s Administration from Sagaing Region and Magwe Region.

· At 10:00 am Thursday, the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration conducted their meeting (40/2023).

· At 3:00 pm Thursday, there was a meeting (32/2023) between Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG and District People’s Administration.

· On Wednesday, U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s Ambassador to the United Nations, called for protecting Myanmar people who managed to run away from the military junta and take refuge in other countries, especially girls and women.

· In the UN General Assembly, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun called for providing no assistance which would make Myanmar’s military junta last long.

Revolution Activities

· In Pulaw Township of Tanintharyi Region, about 500 junta soldiers have been invading villages and preparing for military operations.

· In Tanintharyi Township, the KTLA attacked the junta army Hsin Phyu Shin (4) Police Camp and Kambawza oil crops farm. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died.

· In Longlone Township, a local PDF provided the displaced people with food and medicine. They also gave them healthcare.

· According to Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, 4141 people have lost their lives due to the junta armed forces from the military coup to 5 October.

· In Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region, Ah Nyar Myay Special Commando Defense Force based in Kyaukbadaung conducted a campaign - ‘We will return to our own town’.

· In Madayar Township, a combined force of local PDFs attacked the junta army stationed at a Pyusawti camp in Thonesepay Village. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers.

· In Kalay of Sagaing Region, the junta electricity department cut off the power lines of the houses without the payment of electricity bills in Tarhan Ward and Gyothonebin Village.

· In Yinmabin Township, there were mine attacks on a junta convoy for two days. Reportedly, no less than 10 junta soldiers were injured and 2 vehicles were damaged.

· In Shwebo Township, local PDFs attacked the militia and Pyusawti demanding money from the public in Thilone Village.

· On Shwebo-Mandalay Road, a local PDF attacked the junta army in Ywar Thar Gyi Village twice within three days.

· In Kantbalu District, a team of local activists and local medical force provided healthcare to the displaced people and villagers.

· In Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region, the junta army in Bazunmyaung Village fired mortars. Reportedly, a shell fell on a house, injuring two women.

· The military junta announced that Myanmar citizens abroad must pay their income tax. Regarding it, Myanmar people in Japan expressed their objection in front of the junta’s Myanmar Embassy, calling for no taxation and no renewal of passports.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· In the area under Karen National Union Brigade (6), the junta armed forces have had to use military helicopters to transport their items and support their forces.

· In Muse and Kutkhine of Northern Shan State and Moegok Township of Mandalay Region, there were over 40 battles between the junta army and Ta’ang National Liberation Army in September.

· In Fruso Township of Karenni State, the junta army fired 120mm grenades to a local village for two days. Consequently, a civilian was injured and two houses were damaged.

· Reportedly, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing was invited to join the Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), which will be held on 30 November.

· According to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, it is likely to rain in most areas of the country due to the current weather patterns and it may rain more than normally in Tanintharyi Region, Kayin State and Mon State.

· In Indaw of Sagaing Region, the junta army arrested three siblings by force in Aung Zay Ya Ward, accusing them of supporting the PDFs.

· The junta Trade Department announced on Thursday that they would take action against the companies without the return of export income under the foreign currency management law.

· According to the junta Ministry of Education, private schools teaching the curriculum of basic education must register in October for 2024-25 academic year.

Summary on 6 October

· The military junta has been oppressing the public in various ways such as forced taxation and license application. However, they have failed to provide good service to the people.

· In Dawei, there has been heavy fighting. Reportedly, a large number of local people have had to run away due to invasion of the junta army.
