The Military Council

  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that Central Bank of Myanmar and Ministry of Planning and Finance had signed agreements on spending loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
  • According to the junta media, four people in black arrived at CB Bank in Yedashe Township of Bago Region at about 1:00 pm Friday. Aiming guns at the staff, they then robbed 531 lakh MMK from the deposit counter.
  • The second junta leader Soe Win said that sub-committees were to carry out their tasks systematically for the Independence Day celebration as it was a national event and responsible personnel were to take charge of security.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the junta election commission met with political parties and discussed the advantages of the PR system.
  • At the meeting of the junta government with team leaders of traditional musicians from various townships in Rakhine State, they discussed matters such as asking for a permit and supervising as necessary.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Defence-NUG announced that 6 soldiers and 2 policemen made contact to join the public as they no longer wanted to serve the military junta.
  • Ministry of Defence-NUG announced warfare ethics for the People’s Defence Army again on Saturday.
  • The public have been taking part in the People’s Defensive War. According to the NUG, there were attacks on 16 military targets of the enemy, 23 administration targets and 4 business targets on Friday.
  • Central Coordination Committee of People’s Defence Forces announced that being armed forces for the people to escape from slavery of the military junta and build a nation with true democracy, PDFs must make an effort to set an example in attitude, discipline and ethics as well as truly protect the public.

Revolution Activities

  • According to Matkaya Revolutionary Force, there was a remote bomb attack at the office of Myanmar Motion Picture Organization in Bahan Township of Yangon Region at about 6:45 pm Friday.
  • In Kunchangone Township, Yangon Regional PDF conducted an attack on a military truck with 25 junta soldiers at about 10:00 pm Friday. Reportedly, 7 junta soldiers died and 13 others were injured.
  • At about 9:00 am Saturday, a combined rally of Yangon youth from various townships expressed their desire against the military dictatorship somewhere in the city.
  • On Saturday morning, there was an anti-junta movement in downtown area of Yangon, hanging posters against the military junta and their slavery education on Sule overhead bridge.
  • In Hakha of Chin State, a combined force of CNA and CDF attacked two military camps of the junta army on Saturday morning. Reportedly, 11 junta soldiers died.
  • In Obo village of Myaing Township in Magwe Region, a Pyusawti member was killed on Thursday night. On Friday morning, the junta army arrived at the village and killed 5 people (2 women and 3 men) who were on their way back from harvesting beans.
  • In Pinlebu of Sagaing Region, there was a fighting between local PDF and the junta army on Friday. According to Pinlebu Revolution, more than 40 junta soldiers died and so did 5 PDF members.
  • At about 1:00 pm Friday, two military trucks were attacked with mines by Tamu PDF between Yanlinphai and Witote villages. Reportedly, a junta captain died and 3 junta soldiers were injured.
  • As a 241-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Kawlin Township, local PDF carried out a guerrilla attack on a group of 170 junta soldiers at 9:20 am Friday. Reportedly, at least 15 to 20 junta soldiers died.
  • In Chaung-U Township, 2 military trucks were attacked with mines near Matitha village at about 9:00 am Friday and 2 others faced the same near Hsinmyay village at about 9:45 am Friday respectively. According to local PDFs, about 10 junta soldiers died and no less than 10 others were injured.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, local people marched for the NUG and against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning, singing an anti-junta song entitled ‘Blood Pledge’.
  • In Wetlet Township, a rally of General Strike led a protest against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • On Saturday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • In Hlaingbwe Township of Kayin State, Ma Htoo San Aung, a final year student of Bed, was arrested on Saturday morning with the accusation of supporting PDFs.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Thatone Township under the control of KNU Regiment (1), a military convoy was attacked with mines by a combined force of KNLA, local PDF and guerrilla forces.
  • In Paung Township of Mon State, a combined force of KNLA and Paung Special Force blew up a bridge in Mugyi village on Yangon-Mawlamyein railway section at about 8:00 pm Friday.

Summary on 6th November

  • After the NUG declared a People’s Defensive War, there have been counter attacks on the junta all over the country. After 2 months of defensive war, the revolution has reached the next level.
  • Due to frequent guerrilla attacks by local PDFs in Sagaing Region, the military junta had a great loss there.
  • The war-like guerrilla revolution reached even Yangon. Therefore, it may get to downtown areas from the outskirts any time.
  • In Chin, Kayah, Shan North and Sagaing, there were battles against the junta armed forces. As for Magwe and Mon, they had guerrilla attacks by local PDFs.
  • On the other hand, the military junta conducted more arrests. According to local news and social media, they arrested, ill-treated and killed family members and near-by people when they could not catch the revolutionaries.
