The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In cooperation with Spring Revolution groups overseas, the Representative Office of the NUG to the Republic of Korea organized an online auction of a dress belonging to State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi and a 3rd lucky draw by the KTJ Supporting Group at 11:00 am Korean Standard Time on Sunday.
  • U Aung Myo Min, the NUG Union Minister of Human Rights, said that they had full evidence of activities by the junta army such as setting fire to villages and killing civilians.
  • Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment announced that among buyers of their bonds, there were those who had bought bonds worth one million USD as well as those who had saved money for three months to buy a bond worth 100 USD.

Revolution Activities

  • In Khin-U Township in Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces raided Hmandaw Village, set fire to 25 houses, killed 3 local people and set mines near their dead bodies on Saturday night.
  • In Khin-U Township, a troop of over 80 junta soldiers raided Kyungle Village and set fire to houses including the school on Sunday morning.
  • As part of a 392-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship, even amidst tight security measures, on Sunday.
  • In Kani Township, a troop of 73 junta soldiers set fire to Chaungma East and West Village at 10:00 pm Saturday. Reportedly, the whole village was burnt to ashes.
  • As part of a 361-day protest, a powerful rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In Pale, a military truck on patrol was attacked with mines by a local PDF at 9:20 pm Saturday. Reportedly, 9 junta soldiers died.
  • In Khin-U Township, the junta army set fire to Dangone Village at 2:30 pm Saturday.
  • In Tamu Township, the local PDF Brigade (1) announced on Sunday that they had conducted an event after completing a special refreshers’ training and oath taking.
  • In Thanlyin Township in Yangon Region, Mg Phone, the junta-appointed administrator of Aungchantha Ward, was killed. After that, two more junta informers were murdered. According to local residents, the junta armed forces blocked off Thanlyin Bridge from morning to night.
  • In Kyauktan, a combined force of urban guerrillas conducted a bomb attack on a township electricity office at 8:45 am on Saturday. Reportedly, a junta soldier, who was a sentry on the gate, died.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township, there was an explosion at the administration office of Ward (10) near the BOC Stop at about 8:00 pm Saturday.
  • In Dimawso Township in Karenni State, the junta army fired three mortar rounds into Pasela Village but did not enter the village on Saturday night. Reportedly, a house, a shop and a car were damaged.
  • In Busan in South Korea, young Myanmar activists, led by Degu Sayardaw, protested against the military dictatorship on Sunday. Reportedly, they were also joined by Korean people.
  • In Pauk Township in Magwe Region, the junta army set fire to three villages from 2 to 5 March. Reportedly, the villages were entirely burned to ash.
  • In Dawei in Taninthayi Region, young activists protested against the military dictatorship on Sunday morning.
  • In Phalan, two motorcyclists threw petrol bombs near the municipal market and the St.John boarding school at 9:00 pm on Saturday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • According to the CNDF, there were five battles between the junta armed forces and CNO/CNDF in February 2022. Reportedly, 41 junta soldiers died and 50 others were injured. As for CNDF, they lost 2 members.
  • The KNDF announced that they would punish KNG and Pyusawti members as the Mobye-based KNG have been working as guides for a large number of the junta armed forces invading Karenni State and fighting against PDFs and Karenni combined forces.
  • In Dimawso Township in Karenni State, two troops of marching junta soldiers were attacked by a combined force of local PDF and KGZ between Thesule Village and Nawnawku Village. Reportedly, 35 junta soldiers died.
  • In Kachin State, the KIA sent letters to shop owners in Hpakant Township telling them not to sell products made by junta army firms from 20 March.
  • In Hakha Township in Chin State, there were two battles on Saturday. Reportedly, 17 junta soldiers died.
  • According to the KNU Central Information and Communications, 305 soldiers and BGF members died, and 209 others were injured in battles in the Kawthule Area in February.

The Military Council

  • The junta election commission announced that they had inspected 81 political parties in terms of the number of members, finance, asset management, dissolution and activities.
  • The military junta sent invitation letters for a meeting between EAOs who signed the ceasefire and the ASEAN Special Envoy Mr. Prak Sokhonn, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Cambodia, who will come to Myanmar on 20 March.
  • The military junta announced that five people, including a doctor, had been arrested by security forces for robbing the AGD Bank in Thingangyun Township in Yangon Region.
  • The junta minister of electricity and energy instructed staff to inform the public that they had been providing power in turns according to schedules, at times of insufficient production.
  • The junta ministry of immigration and population announced that travelling with recommendation letters instead of national registration cards would no longer be allowed.
  • The second junta leader Soe Win said that they had been carrying out activities regarding the use of fuel oil to reduce the amount of foreign currency spent on oil imports.
  • The second junta leader said that there had been economic impacts on countries like Myanmar as a consequence of COVID-19 and competition among superpowers.

Summary on 7 March

  • The military junta invited EAOS who signed the ceasefire for a meeting with the ASEAN Special Envoy to Myanmar during his trip to the country. Actually, the main reason for the trip is to implement the ASEAN Consensus. A meeting with the EAOs in Myanmar is not that important. Therefore, it is just a trick by the military junta on the ASEAN Special Envoy.
  • In Sagaing Region, junta armed forces have been setting fire to villages for over a week. Conversely, the NUG Minister of Human Rights has been making an effort to take necessary action on the evidence of war crimes by the military junta.
