The Military Council

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that if the use of fuel oil and cooking oil could be reduced to some extent, it was expected to get a trade surplus in the mini budget from 1st October this year to March next year.
  • The junta Magwe Regional Government instructed township administration councils that only one person was allowed to ride a motorbike in the region.
  • In the junta newspaper, the military junta falsely claimed that schools and hospitals in Tamu of Sagaing Region and Sintku of Mandalay Region had been blown up by local PDFs.
  • The boat-rowing competition for the cup of the junta Yangon Regional Chief Minister was organized in secret with invitations sent at the last minute.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On Friday, Daw Zin Mar Aung, Minister of Foreign Affairs-NUG, had a discussion with Ms. Amanda Milling, Asian Affairs Minister of Department of Foreign Affairs under the UK government.
  • U Min Zayar Oo, Deputy Minister of Planning, Finance and Foreign Investments-NUG, said that it was expected to get up to 20 billion MMK from monthly sales of the Spring Lottery and depending on such amount, up to 200,000 CDM staff members could be supported on a monthly basis.
  • The NUG said that the term of their bonds was set for two years because of their belief in the victory of Spring Revolution within that period.
  • U Tin Tun Naing, Union Minister of Planning, Finance and Foreign Investments-NUG, said that for the first time, they would sell special bonds of the revolution up to 200 million USD and the sale would begin in the second week of November.
  • U Tin Tun Naing, Union Minister of Planning, Finance and Foreign Investments-NUG, said that in the rehabilitation period, they would join hands only with business people who pay taxes to the NUG.
  • With 2000 MMK per ticket, Spring Lottery can be bought from a minimum of 5 tickets up to a maximum of 50.
  • Dr. Tukaung, Union Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation-NUG, said that although the junta delegate arrived in Glasgow Scotland to attend the 26th UN Climate Change Conference, the organizing committee did not allow them to join.

Revolution Activities

  • According to Myaing PDF, a convoy of 3 military trucks was attacked with mines twice in Myaing Township of Magwe Region and 2 of them were damaged.
  • According to a member of Magwe PDF, there was ammunition fired in the house of Ko Tun Oo, allegedly Pyusawti member in Khinshetaungsu village of Pauk Township, at about 8:00 pm Thursday.
  • At about 6:15 pm Thursday, there was an explosion at a township court on Pyi road in Mayangone Township of Yangon Region.
  • According to local residents of South Dagon Township, a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the No. (6) basic education high school with non-CDM teachers on Wednesday night.
  • In Ward (2) of Kamayut Township, there was an explosion near Malar bus-stop on Pyi road on Friday morning.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township, Yangon-based Federal Liberation Army Regiment (1) was established. They announced that all the junta armed forces in the township were to leave their operation areas as soon as possible and that they would take serious military action against any armed forces without the public’s support.
  • According to a member of guerrilla force, they carried out an explosion near the administration office of Apyinbadan village in Hlaingthaya Township at 7:20 pm Thursday.
  • On Thursday evening, the junta armed forces arrested the riders of motorbikes near Panhlaing bridge in Hlaingthaya Township. At that time, they shot at a motorcyclist who did not stop. According to local residents, 3 people were injured and one of them might die of serious injury.
  • At about 9:00 am Friday, there was a bomb explosion near KBZ Bank Headquarters in Kamayut Township.
  • On Friday morning, Thingangyun B.E.H.S (1) Students’ Union wrote anti-junta words on the school wall.
  • At about 9:00 am Friday, there was a bomb explosion at KBZ ATM In Shwe Gabar Housing compound on Mindama road in Mayangone Township.
  • In North Okkalapa Township, a high school teacher was shot dead by unknown people at the corner of Thudamar street and Nweni street on Friday morning.
  • In Kangyidaunk Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, there was a bomb explosion at the high school in Yway village group at about 7:30 pm Thursday.
  • In Phya Pone, Ko Lu Min, former soldier and allegedly junta informer, was shot dead by a group of people at about 5:45 pm Thursday.
  • In Kyaunggone Township, local PDF blew up MyTel tele-system box in Dotan village at about 5:00 am Friday.
  • In Bogalay, junta soldiers slapped the faces of 3 female teachers on their way to school as they did not wear school uniform or take staff identification cards with them.
  • Despite an offer of a financial incentive of 15000 MMK per person to conduct a pro-military rally in Wakema, it was accepted by no one and thus, there was no such rally.
  • Dimawso PDF announced on Thursday that under the guidance of the NUG, DMO-PDF Regiment (C) successfully completed their refreshers’ course.
  • In Thandwe Township of Rakhine State, 3 women, including 10th grader, were arrested with the accusation of supporting PDFs financially.
  • On Thursday night, there was a march against the military dictatorship somewhere in Mandalay.
  • On Friday dawn, Mandalay engineers expressed their objection to the military dictatorship somewhere on Thaitpan road, hanging a clothing banner- ‘Be bold against unfair orders’.
  • On Friday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • Dawei Guerrilla Revolution Force announced on Thursday that a military truck was attacked with mines, killing 7 junta soldiers and leaving no less than 10 others injured.
  • In Dawei, youth conducted a movement against the junta schools on Friday.
  • Tigyaint Township PDF released an emergency statement that the public were to drive, lowering car mirrors and truck drivers were not to cover up the back with rain-proof sheets. Moreover, the people were not to stop their cars and motorbikes on the left or right sides along the road. Upon seeing a military convoy, the people were to take refuge at a near-by village or safe place. As for farmers, they were not to herd and tend their cattle on either sides of the road.
  • In Kawlin Township, the junta army raided Taungmaw village on Wednesday afternoon and killed 5 civilians, including a high school teacher.
  • In Tantsi, there was an explosion near No. (2) high school where the junta army had been stationing, on Friday morning. After the incident, junta soldiers opened gunfire. Reportedly, May Zin Kyaw, a mother of a 2-year-old baby, was hit with a bullet and died.
  • On Friday, Kawlin PDF made an offer of 300 lakh MMK per fully-armed military officer who would leave the junta army and join the public.
  • As a 271-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Friday, lighting candles in honor of the heroes who had sacrificed their lives in Mindat and Kalay battles.
  • As a 240-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In Mawlight Township, the junta armed forces have been asking for money by force from gold-hunters near Tawtha village.
  • In Shwebo Township, local people marched for the NUG and against the military dictatorship on Friday morning.
  • In Pale Township, the junta army raided the house of NLD MP U Zaw Htet in Mintaibin village at about 3:30 pm Thursday and took away his property.
  • In fighting against the junta army in Tigyaint Township, Ko Moe Min Naing, a final-year student of Batch (16) at Sagaing University of Education, sacrificed his life.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • According to the KNU, there were 275 battles in 5 areas under their control in October. Reportedly, 271 junta soldiers died and 266 others were injured.
  • At about 5:30 am Friday, two junta soldiers from Shweku-based army were attacked with mines by KIA.
  • PPST, comprising 10 EAOs which signed the NCA, stated their strong objection and condemnation against attacks of the junta armed forces targeting religious buildings and the public’s houses in Tantlang of Chin State, and in Sagaing, Magwe and Karenni.

  • In addition to lack of recognition in the international community, the military junta fail to keep control of local areas, especially in upper Myanmar with a collapsed administration. Therefore, they just conduct more oppression on the public and destroy or take away valuable things.
  • In Chin, Kayah and Sagaing, there were heavy battles and clashes. The military junta had a great loss there whereas local PDFs started to gain influence in some areas.
  • As for Yangon, Mandalay and Sagaing, they had activities of urban guerrilla revolution and junta-informer clearance operations in great momentum. Despite everyday protests in Sagaing, there were only guerrilla ones in Yangon and Mandalay due to chains of contact for arrest. In Ayeyarwaddy Region which had been silent for some time, guerrilla revolution regained momentum.
