The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights-NUG, said that the military junta revoking citizenship was not legal.
  • The NUG announced that Golden Myanmar Airlines owned by CB Bank Chair Khin Mg Aye, Brighter Energy owned by KBZ Bank Chair Aung Ko Win and Shwe Byein Phyu Company owned by Thein Win Zaw were supporters of terrorists as they import aviation fuel for the military junta.
  • According to Yangon Regional Force, local PDFs attacked the military convoys on patrol and the junta police stations in Pyan Hlwa Aung Operation area from 4 February to 4 March. Reportedly, 67 members of the junta armed forces died and over 100 others were injured.
  • The NUG announced that it was necessary for PDFs to pay special attention to reduce and protect future leaders under the age of 18 from the physical and mental impacts of the People’s Defensive War against the military junta.
  • The NUG announced that PDFs were to recruit only those above the age of 18 in accordance with recruitment guidance by the Ministry of Defence, and that they were to carry out measures contained in additional guidance if there were any children under 18 in their camps for various reasons.

Revolution Activities

  • On Friday, Mandalay Monks’ Union conducted a night strike against the military dictatorship, calling for social punishment against supporters of military rebels.
  • In Mandalay, a rally of Pyi/Gun, led by Pyigyi Dagun Sayardaw, carried out a night protest against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In Natoegyi Township, a military truck was attacked with 8 mines by local PDF between Wetlu Village and Pechat Village at 7:30 am Saturday.
  • Somewhere in Yangon, a combined rally of Rangoon Empire (RGE) Yangon Drone, Sanchaung General Strike and Mingaladone Township Strike Committee protested against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Tightgyi Township, 2 young PDF members returning to Ngaeainsu Village were shot by the junta army in a move to arrest them on Tuesday. According to local residents, one of them died on the spot and another one died during interrogation.
  • In Yangon, there was a robbery of a truck carrying money worth of 666 lakh MMK from 2 vehicle registration offices on Friday.
  • In Indawgyi Township of Kachin State, the junta armed forces have been demanding money from illegal gold miners around Mainaung and there have been big gold mining projects with over 400 excavation machines.
  • In Hpakant Township, local people marched against the military dictatorship. They also showed their support for the KIA, PDF and NUG.
  • In Sagaing Region, a convoy of 29 military trucks leaving Tigyaint was attacked with mines by an alliance of KIA at 6:00 am Saturday. Reportedly, no less than 25 junta soldiers died.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a military convoy was attacked with mines by a combined force of local PDFs at Hnawyoe-Kaungkint Village on Saturday morning.
  • As a 360-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Bogale of Ayeyarwaddy Region, Gen-Z youth expressed their desire against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning, hanging anti-junta signs in front of the town hall and at Bogale Bridge.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • Starting from 1:40 pm Friday, there was fighting between the junta army and local CDF between Kanpetlet Township of Chin State and Magwe Region. Reportedly, 7 junta soldiers died.
  • In Chin State, a convoy of 4 military trucks carrying rations from Phalan to Hakha was attacked three times by PDFs. According to CNO/CNDF, more than 61 junta soldiers died.
  • ULA/AA stated that they had solved 1025 crimes and 875 legal cases within a year.
  • In a press conference on Saturday, AA stated that they had no peace talks or plan for political discussions with the military junta.
  • AA said that if there were no space in Myanmar to reach the desired political destination of the Rakhine people, they, in cooperation with international community, would build their own National State.
  • On Saturday morning, over 300 junta soldiers in 2 armoured vehicles invaded Dimawso. Reportedly, there was constant firing of mortars from Loikaw.

The Military Council

  • The second junta leader Soe Win said that starting from April, the allowance of fuel for cars of responsible personnel from Union, Regional and State level government would be reduced due to the income condition of the country and the need for a thrifty policy.
  • The military junta announced that diesel fuel imported by 26 companies would be sold with special prices in states and regions.
  • Daw Than Than Swe, Vice-Chair of the junta Central Bank, said that the Real Time Retail Payment Network would be implemented for payment between banks and mobile financial services with the use of MMQR.
  • At a state and regional budget meeting, the second leader Soe Win said that the 2022-23 fiscal year was a year to empower the economy of the country.
