The Military Council

  • According to the junta newspaper, there are (65) shops in Mandalay Region which sell fuel oil at reasonable prices. The market supervision team has been doing surprise checks on them.
  • On Sunday morning, Dr. Thet Khine Win, the junta minister of Health, inspected 50-bedded Pindaya general hospital in Danu self-administered region.
  • The junta YRTC announced that disciplinary action like withdrawal of CNG or licences would be taken against the public transport which collects more fares.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that during his tenure, he would make Kalaw and Aung Pan resort towns.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that there were not many highly-educated people in the country and thus, the public lacks modern technology skills in doing business and agriculture.
  • According to the junta propaganda team, a total of (163) police stations and camps were attacked and damaged in (105) townships in 8 months of the military coup.
  • · The military junta declared that exporters could keep their income with the dollar in their bank accounts only for 30 days and after that period, they must sell it at a fixed price of Central Bank.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The public has been taking part in the People’s Defensive War. According to the NUG, there were attacks at 17 military targets of the enemy, 10 administration targets and 10 business targets on Sunday.
  • On Sunday, there were 6 fair defensive wars in Kachin, Taninthayi, Sagaing and Magwe. There were also 7 soldiers and 10 policemen who made contact to join the public.
  • Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment- NUG announced that Myanmar people in the country and outside of the country could calculate the amount of their taxes on their own and pay them via reliable online platforms. After their taxation, they would receive certificates of honour with a Unique Identification Number (UID).
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights- NUG, said that internet blackout was a violation of human rights as well as creating a pathway for other human rights violations.
  • Ministry of Defence- NUG announced that PDFs attacked the junta armed forces in Sagaing, Magwe and Taninthayi regions on Sunday. Reportedly, about 100 junta soldiers died.

Revolution Activities

  • In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army shot 3 Shweku Tesu villagers dead in their heads on Sunday evening.
  • As 208-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • In Pale Township, a convoy of over 80 military trucks was attacked with 27 mines by local PDFs on Monday morning. After that, the proceeding convoy was attacked again near Nalan mountain at about 9:40 am.
  • In Tigyaint Township of Katha District, almost all ward and village administrators resigned from their position and thus, the operation of basic administration came to a stop there.
  • In Shwebo Township, local residents of a village marched in support of the NUG on Monday morning. They also expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • Amidst tight security measures by the junta armed forces in Monywa, Township Basic Education Students’ Union expressed their objection to the military dictatorship on Monday morning, hanging anti-junta banners at Dawnachan Yaycin traffic lights and district office.
  • After local PDFs set fire to Aledaw police station in Tigyaint Township at about 8:30 pm Sunday, there were exchanges of fire.
  • In Wetlet Township, the junta army arrested a local youth named Mg Kyaw Zaw Kant on Sunday morning and shot him dead in the camp.
  • In Muse of Shan State, there were exchanges of fire between the junta armed forces and an unknown armed group at about 7:40 pm Sunday. According to local residents, police officer Soe Lin was hit with a bullet and died.
  • In Pha-Kant, a rally of multi-ethnics led a protest against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, the junta army raided Date tea shop and opened gunfire at about 9:00 am Monday. According to local residents, a university student named Mg Thuta Aung was hit with a bullet in his head and died.
  • In Yesagyo Township, many junta-appointed village administrators resigned from their position.
  • In Yesagyo Township, the junta army raided charity clinic in Min village and destroyed it on Sunday afternoon.
  • In Palait of Mandalay Region, a poster in support of the NUG was hung at the entrance of Snake Pagoda on Monday morning.
  • On Monday, Dr. Tayzar San, a leader of Mandalay protests, told the public that the pillars such as armed revolution, protests and CDM needed to be powerful so that the desired goal could be achieved as soon as possible.
  • On Monday afternoon, a combined rally of Mandala University Students, Maha Aungmye, multi-religions, engineers and Phayagyi marched against the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • Kyaikhto Revolution Force announced that they had shot police sergeant Kyaw Soe Moe to death at about 6:00 pm Sunday. They would clear all the pillars of the military junta in the days to come.
  • In the south west of Tantalang in Chin State, 8 junta soldiers from the camp near Wanthu village were taken back in a helicopter. After that, a combined force of CDF Zophei and CNA cleared mines and burnt the camp.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region, Free Tiger Ranger made bomb attacks at the offices of Denko Company and Gold Delta Company at about 6:10 pm Sunday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Kayin State, a convoy of military trucks was attacked by KNLA near Mibone village on Sunday. Reportedly, a military truck was damaged.
  • In Tanai Township under the control of KIO/KIA Regiment (2), the junta armed forces invading Kaungyar village was attacked with mines by KIA at about 8:00 am Monday.

Summary on 5th October

  • The military junta announced that export income could be kept in banks for 30 days only and after that, it must be sold at fixed prices of Central Bank. It shows that they are badly in need of foreign currency. It will also be more challenging for business people.
  • The military junta sent a large number of armed forces to Sagaing Region. They have been putting a lot of effort to keep Sagaing and Chin under control. However, they were faced with a great loss there due to ambushes of local PDFs.
  • Due to the arrest and killing of peaceful protesters, there would probably be more activities of armed revolution instead of public protests. As for Mandalay, Sagaing, Magwe and
  • Yangon, they had guerrilla protests as well as urban guerrilla revolution. In Mon, Ayeyarwaddy and Nay Pyi Taw, activities of armed revolution increased. There might be similar activities in other states and regions.
  • In Chin, Kayah and Kayin, the junta armed forces shot mortars on Monday morning. Consequently, there might be battles in those areas in the days to come.
