The National Unity Government (NUG)

· Dawna Column announced that they and their alliance would raise the momentum to control the southern and northern parts of Yay Township in Mon State.

· At 10:00 am on 30 September, there was a meeting (13/2023) of township legal personnel under the Ministry of Judiciary Affairs-NUG.

· At 1:00 pm Tuesday, there was a meeting (19/2023) between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Township People’s Administration Teams from Yangon Region.

· There was a meeting (39/2023) between the People’s Police Force under Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG and the People’s Security Forces from Sagaing Region and Magwe Region.

· In Wuntho Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army fired mortars into Butarsu Area in Joetaung Ywama Village. In the incident, children were injured and school buildings were damaged. Regarding it, the NUG conducted a meeting.

Revolution Activities

· In Myaing Township of Magwe Region, local PDFs attacked the junta armed forces. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers including a captain died.

· In Shwe Pyi Aye where there had been heavy fighting in town, there has been intense military tension again. The PDFs warned local people to take caution oover military affairs.

· In Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region, there were two bomb attacks via drone on Sartaung Police Station on Shwebo-Mandalay Road within three days. Reportedly, there were explosions in the compound.

· In Monywa, a car carrying a junta administrator and a junta policeman was attacked on Monywa-Mandalay Road. Reportedly, both of them died.

· According to Amnyar Pyit Tie Taung Lay Myar, junta helicopters have been opening fire on two local villages on the border of Salingyi Township and Yinmabin Township.

· In Bago of Bago Region, there was an attack via remote mine on the junta’s main gate on the ring-road. Reportedly, a junta soldier died.

· In Thaketa Township of Yangon Region, there was a bomb explosion near the junta navy on Tuesday night.

· The Special Advisory Council for Myanmar announced that the effort of the United Nations for Myanmar had failed.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· In Karenni State, there have been battles between Karenni Nationalities Defence Forces and the junta army. According to the KNDF, 78 junta soldiers died in September.

· Since July, there had been constant fighting between the Ta’ang National Liberation Army and the junta army. Starting from the end of September, they have been silent again for more than a week.

· In Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region, the junta army fired mortars to Ngatoekhin Village in Mone. According to Karen National Union, two people including a child aged 9 were injured.

The Military Council

· U Nyan Lwin Aung, allegedly a weapon dealer for the military junta, was shot dead. Afterwards, there has been tighter security measures in Yangon.

· There have been objections to the invitation of the junta’s representative to the human rights forum jointly held by the European Union and the ASEAN.

· In Hakha of Chin State, the junta martial court sentenced three locals to lifelong imprisonment.

· The Union Solidarity and Development Party backed by the military junta told its members that they need to win the election in Kawhmu of Yangon Region.

· According to the junta Ministry of Economics and Commerce, they have been arranging to make value-added products based on coconuts, not only for local consumption but also for export.

· According to the Trade Department under the junta Ministry of Economics and Commerce, some important imports to Myanmar include medicines, fuel oil and edible oil.

Summary on 5 October

· With international sanctions, the military junta has not been able to export anything in accordance with international standards. They have been just saying this or that superficially.

· In Karenni State, a large number of the junta armed forces have been invading to get back control of local towns. However, they have had a great loss including regiment commanders along the way due to guerrilla attacks.
