The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On Friday evening, U Kyaw Ni, Deputy Minister of Labour-NUG, met with Christian leaders from England and Australia, and discussed social support and protection for local and international workers.
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights-NUG, said that the approval of the UN Credentials Committee of Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun was a victory of Spring Revolution and a symbol of constant failure for the military junta in diplomatic fighting.
  • According to Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment-NUG, they have started to send special bonds, which could be checked by scanning a QR Code via Scan Me at unitedbonds-nug.org.
  • U Yi Mon, Union Minister of Defence-NUG, sent a statement of training completion of special commandos by the Chin National Defence Force.
  • According to PDF members, the NUG Ministry of Defence started to support them with rations.
  • In an interview with Public Spring Media, Defence Minister U Yi Mon said that each regiment of PDF, established by the NUG, cost at least 2 million USD.

Revolution Activities

  • According to the UNHCR, the number of new IDPs all across Myanmar rose to (234,600) until mid-November due to the battles in the wake of the military coup.
  • In a report by Human Rights Watch, at least 65 protesters and near-by people died due to lethal crackdowns of Myanmar security forces on purpose.
  • In Pulaw Township of Taninthayi Region, there was a fighting between the junta army and local PDF near Gyintgar Village on Friday evening.
  • According to Burmese Students’ Union, Ko Hnin Aung, former EC member and focal person of ethnic affairs, was arrested and killed by a combined force of the junta army and Pyusawti on Friday.
  • Myaung Township People Defence and Security Force announced that they would keep security booths at town entrances and lead the inspection.
  • In Salingyi Township of Sagaing Region, farmers carried out a farm strike against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • As a 269-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Salingyi Township, a combined rally of Latbadaung Taung Area General Strike and Monywa Students’ Union protested against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.
  • According to Ranger Kalay, the junta armed forces which set fire to Lecha and Shadaw villages in Kalay Township were attacked with mines at about 8:30 am Friday as they were on their way to take control of a PDF camp. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died on the spot and 7 others among the injured lost lives later in the night.
  • As a 300-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday dawn.
  • Starting from Saturday morning, a Facebook post went viral saying that Myaung Township in Sagaing Region became a liberated area. However, local guerrilla forces claimed that it could not be regarded so yet.
  • In memory of the people who lost their lives 9 months ago due to the junta armed forces, there was a night strike against the military dictatorship in a village on Monywa-Amyint Road on Friday.
  • In Maha Aungmye Township, a combined rally of students and residents marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, U Marter, Pyusawti leader and former soldier, was shot on Friday morning. According to local PDF, he was shot again on the way to Monywa Hospital and died.
  • In the south of Tilin, the town entrance gate was attacked with a mortar by a local PDF on Friday evening.
  • In Pha-Kant of Kachin State, local people marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday. They also expressed their support for KIA, PDF, NUG and NUCC.

· According to local residents, a military convoy, which was supposed to carry fuel oil, left Kachin State for Sagaing Region on Saturday morning.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • There were 206 battles between KNLA, KNDO and the junta army + Border Guard Force. Reportedly, 190 junta soldiers and BGF members died and 159 others were injured.
  • On Saturday, Chin National Force called for no campaign to leave Chin State and seek refuge in the third countries at a time of military and political crisis.
  • In Rakhine State, a deputy police officer Kyi Tun from Bangla Border Guard Force Milepost (43) joined AA as he no longer wanted to serve the military junta.

The Military Council

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that there were cases of bank staff breaking rules and doing wrong, and thus it was necessary for responsible personnel to monitor and for ministries and state/regional governments to oversee to keep state-owned and private banks on the right track.
  • According to the junta fire department in Kawthaung Township of Taninthayi Region, night watch for fire would be practiced again in wards and villages of the township.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that after a declaration of a state of emergency, there was political instability and thus, international investments decreased in terms of the economic cooperation sector.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the country had a great loss due to no full taxation for various reasons and no systematic customs on imports and exports at border areas.
  • According to the junta media, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing instructed great care for health and security of basic education students until completion of their final exams.
  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that U Wunna Mg Lwin, the junta minister of foreign affairs, would go to Cambodia this week.

Summary on 4th December

  • The military junta intentionally tightened bank cash flow. Only when there were negative impacts, they said that they would take action against the staff and made an effort to keep oppression on the public.
  • In Sagaing Region, the junta army had a great loss due to local PDFs. In Myaung Township, local PDF gained influence in their area until they could keep their own inspection booths at town entrances. In Pulaw Township of Taninthayi Region, there were warfare activities by local PDFs. On the other hand, the NUG started to provide support to PDFs. Consequently, there might be frequent battles in the areas with powerful PDFs soon.
