The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • According to the Ministry of Defence-NUG, 3 soldiers and 2 police members made contact on Friday to join the public as they could no longer accept the military dictatorship.
  • On Thursday, there was a meeting among Naing Thu Wunna, Union Minister of Labour-NUG, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the UN, and Myanmar Labourers’ Alliance (LA).
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights-NUG, called for campaigns to make the world see the situation of people living in the country with dead silence on human rights.
  • CRPH made an announcement calling on member states to continue their help for adoption of the decision by the Credentials Committee at the 76th UN General Assembly in accordance with the great expectation and hope of the Myanmar people.

Revolution Activities

  • On Friday afternoon, Pakkoku townspeople conducted a protest against the military dictatorship.
  • In Salingyi Township of Sagaing Region, Latbadaung Taung General Strike marched against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • As a 268-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East, led by women, marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Friday morning.
  • In Ye-U Township, a MyTel telecom tower in Myinpauk Village was burnt at about 10:00 pm Thursday, according to a member of the local revolution group.
  • In memory of the heroes who lost their lives on Phayani Street or Martyrs’ Street in Monywa due to violent crackdown of the junta army, Monywa General Strike Committee announced a photo campaign themed - ‘The blood on Martyrs’ Street is not dry yet’.
  • Ranger Kalay Defend Force announced on Friday that the junta armed forces, which had set fire to villages in Kalay Township, were attacked with mines. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died.
  • In Tantsi Township, the junta army, which had stationed in Sitha Village on 30th November, destroyed houses of local residents and slaughtered their domesticated animals.
  • On Friday noon, a convoy of 22 military trucks was attacked with mines by an alliance of Black Eagle Defence Force – MMU and 4 other PDFs between Wampyae Village and Alla Kappa Village. Reportedly, two of them were damaged.
  • At about 1:40 pm Thursday, a military convoy of over 30 junta soldiers was attacked with 6 mines by Kyaukse PDF at Mile Post No. (343 Mile 5 Furlong) on Yangon-Mandalay Expressway.
  • In Mandalay, Yadanabone University Students’ Union carried out a paper strike against the military dictatorship on Friday morning.
  • In Thatone of Mon State, a military car on patrol was attacked with mines by local PDF at Pidagat Thonebone Roundabout at about 11:30 pm Thursday. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers were injured.
  • In memory of those who lost their lives 9 months ago, Dagon University Students’ Union hung a banner - ‘The blood flowing on the streets is not dry yet’ at North Okkalapa Township Roundabout and sprayed red paint on the streets.
  • According to the Condo and Housing Committee, the military junta had instructed to give the lists containing residents at condos and housing in Yangon City by Friday at the latest.
  • On Friday morning, an anti-junta poster was place on Tamway Overpass.
  • In Mingala Taung Nyunt Township, there was a fire at the traffic police booth near Mingala market traffic lights at 6:05 pm Thursday.
  • At about 7:00 pm Thursday, there was a bomb explosion at Kyauktan Township Electricity Office.
  • In Hlaing Township, police sergeant Khin Mg Win from Badaukchaung police station was shot dead on the spot by unknown people on Friday morning.
  • In Myaing Township of Magwe Region, local PDF conducted an attack at the junta army in Bahin police station at about 4:00 pm Thursday. Reportedly, there were many casualties among junta soldiers and police members.
  • In some villages of Magwe Region, the junta armed forces have been recruiting local residents by force for hard labour and thus, the people are worried.
  • On Thursday, Myaing Township General Strike Committee, in cooperation with the public, marched against the military dictatorship.
  • On Thursday night, Dawei youth made an indoors strike against the military dictatorship.
  • In Yebyu Township of Taninthayi Region, administrator of Sinthay Village was shot dead at about 6:00 am Friday.
  • According to Bee Tenasserim, 53 people have died in Thaninthayi Region due to the junta armed forces from February to the end of November.
  • In Kyonepyaw Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, a hand-made bomb exploded in the compound of the Ataung Electricity Office at 4:45 am Friday.
  • The military junta revoked passports of many opposition leaders, including Ministers of the NUG and well-known democracy activists.
  • According to an election candidate, the military junta have been constructing and selling buildings and shops on the public’s land in Ayethaya of Shan State.
  • In Paletwa Township of Chin State, the military junta met with some village administrators and instructed them to give the lists of 15 people per village to join public’s army training by Friday at the latest.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In accordance with their drug eradication policy and in commemoration of the 10th year anniversary of state-level ceasefire agreement, RCSS/SSA burned confiscated drugs in their headquarters and other regiment areas.
  • At about 7:00 am Friday, two motorboats carrying junta soldiers were attacked by a combined force of KIA and PDF near Bamaw.
  • On Friday, KNDF warned the people in Karenni State not to travel by the airline under control of the military junta.

The Military Council

  • The military junta revoked passports of many opposition leaders, including Ministers of the NUG and well-known democracy activists.
  • The second junta leader Soe Win said that the diamond anniversary of 75th Union Day would be celebrated throughout the country in accordance with COVID-19 preventive measures.
  • The military junta announced that 409 telecom towers and 360 houses had been damaged throughout the country due to the NUG and PDF from 1st February to 30th November.
  • The junta newspaper falsely claimed that about 20 PDF members with weapons had arrived at Kyundawgone Village in Tantsi Township and killed 4 family members of administrator U Tight Ngwe as they could not find him.
  • The junta media said that the military junta, regarded as thieves of the country’s treasury by the public, had been carrying out identifications in accordance with international audit standards not to waste state funds.

Summary on 3rd December

  • Turning a blind eye to true federal situation of ethnic people, the military junta said that there would be a grand celebration of upcoming Union Day.
  • In Sagaing Region, there were frequent activities of guerrilla revolution by local PDFs. The junta army had a great loss there. As usual, they ill-treated local residents and took away the public’s belongings.
  • As for Yangon, Mandalay, Magwe and Ayeyarwaddy, they had great momentum in activities of guerrilla revolution. In Dawei, there were some protests against the military dictatorship.
