The Military Council

  • Dr. Thet Thet Khine, the junta Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, said that their department had been implementing the policy on freedom, safety and development of the public for society with full dignity and social protection with inclusion and sustainability.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that despite being a staple food traditionally, rice could not give nutrition fully to the body in some areas. Therefore, the people were to reduce rice consumption to some extent and have other nutritious supplies like meat, fish and vegetables.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that they had been trying for vaccination of enrolled students as they were about to reopen universities and colleges.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the National Solidarity and Peace-making Committee (NSPC) had a discussion with religious leaders from Kachin State at NSPC meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday morning.
  • The military junta has arranged imprisonment for media people and social media users and announced that instead of a fine between 30 million and 50 million MMK- Section (96) contained in the Television and Broadcasting Law, it had been changed to ‘at least 3 to 5 years in prison or fine or both.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG announced that exercising Section (41) of government staff law, they dismissed and blacklisted non-CDM staff who conducted lawsuits and put pressure on CDM staff unlawfully for repayment of staff loans in the Ministry of Information and Technology.
  • According to the NUG, 2 soldiers and 4 policemen made contact on Tuesday to join the public.
  • Dr. Win Myat Aye, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Risks Management- NUG, met with representatives of various local organizations from Chin State and said that they, in cooperation with partner organizations, had been providing responsive and effective assistance to the IDPs.

Revolution Activities

  • The U.S President and Indonesian President called on the Myanmar junta army to release political prisoners and stop all their violent activities in the country.
  • In Thayetkan village of Khin-U Township in Sagaing Region, 3 villagers were shot dead by the junta army on Monday.
  • In Kani Township, local people conducted a motorbike strike against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • At about 6:00 pm Monday, the junta army stopped 3 young people on a motorbike on Martyrs’ road corner in Monywa. As the youth did not stop, those junta soldiers shot at them, killing one of them on that road and two others on Boteza street.
  • As 268-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday, chanting anti-junta slogans including the ones against the stereotype of women’s clothing fashion.
  • In Tigyaint Township, an armoured vehicle of the junta army was attacked with mines by local PDF on Mawkun mountain. Reportedly, it fell down the mountain and some junta soldiers inside it might die.
  • In Pale Township, a convoy of the junta police cars was attacked with mines by local PDF on Tuesday morning. According to local residents, a policeman died and many others were injured.
  • As 237-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • In the village of Shwebo Township, there was a protest against the military dictatorship on Tuesday morning.
  • According to People’s Soldiers, Naing Min Tun, a MyTel engineer, joined a military convoy to set mines at MyTel telecom towers in Sagaing Region. Reportedly, he was injured in the incident of a mine attack at the convoy. He has been getting medical treatment.
  • In Tantsi Township, the junta army set fire to Karpaunggya village many times. Consequently, thousands of local residents had to run away.
  • In Ywabo village of Sintkai Township, a CDM high school teacher named U Win Lwin was arrested by the junta army stationing in the village at about 3:00 am Monday. According to his family’s associate, he lost his life due to ill-treatment in the investigation.
  • On Tuesday morning, CDF Mindat conducted a guerrilla attack at a military convoy of 75 trucks, including 2 armoured vehicles, heading to Mindat from Matupi in Chin State. Reportedly, a JCB excavator of the junta army was damaged.
  • On Tuesday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • On Tuesday, Mandalay women rally marched against the military dictatorship, chanting ‘We’ll wear as we wish. But, it’s not for you to rape us’.
  • On Tuesday morning, Mandalay Monks’ Union marched up to the road and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Kyaukse Township, Thein Htay, Thinpyo village administrator, was shot dead by some unknown people on Monday night while he was shouting through a microphone for payment of electricity bills.
  • In Nyaung-U Township, U Lin Aung, junta-appointed administrator of Myingabar village, was shot dead by local PDF at about 7:25 am Tuesday.
  • In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, youth expressed their desire against the military dictatorship on Tuesday morning.
  • In Sitbye village of Longlone Township, the junta army set fire to the house of Ko Wai Yan Soe, member of Dawei District Strike, on Monday night.
  • According to Spring guerrilla force, police Nay Myo Aung was shot dead on Taungzin street in Sitbye village at about 1:00 pm Monday.
  • In Zayetseit village of Pulaw Township, 4 local residents were arrested by the junta army (285). Reportedly, U Par Kone, junta-appointed administrator, himself demanded their family members to pay 20 lakh MMk for the release of each villager.
  • In North Dagon, a combined rally of students’ union and variety forces expressed their objection to slavery education of the military junta on Monday.
  • In South Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, there were two explosions near the township electricity office on the corner of Parami road and Thumingala road on Tuesday morning.
  • In Thaketa Township, two members of Ma-Ba-Tha, allegedly junta informers, were shot on Monday night. According to local residents, one of them died.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Kondar area of Shan North, MNDAA attacked a convoy of the junta army entering Phaungsai area via Monekoe. According to the Kokang, they managed to blow up military trucks.
  • KIO announced that with the military objective of invasive attacks all over the country, the junta army attacked Tantalan of Chin State on purpose.
  • The alliance of AA, MNDAA and TNLA released a joint statement with their strong condemnation against the junta army that set fire to Tantalan in Chin State on 29th October.

Summary on 3rd November

  • The junta leaders and followers seem to think that they know everything just by wearing a military uniform. They always make a mess in other subjects and fields beyond their profession. As if he were a nutritionist, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing talked about reducing rice consumption. Again, they will be in great prosperity whereas the country is in poverty. Therefore, a handful of the military junta must be put to an end.
  • In Chin, Kachin, Sagaing and Shan North, there were battles against the junta armed forces. Due to their great loss there, the military junta conducted oppression on the people. In Sagaing, they have been committing war crimes such as setting fire to villages and killing local residents.
  • As for Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Dawei and Magwe, they had public protests as well as activities of guerrilla revolution and junta-informer clearance operation.
