Summary on 29 January

  • The Silent Strike gained success even before it got started. The military junta threatened all people, including roadside shops, not to join it and arrested those who had written about participation on social media. Despite a year of the coup, they still could not make it. On the other hand, the public still protested against them in various ways. As for the military junta, they conducted a variety of oppression to show as if they could control the country. However, they were in fright of both the silence and the voices of the public.
  • At the time of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, surrounded by a large number of security guards, going around the country and talking nonsense, his soldiers still conducted air strikes and killed civilians when they could not beat the PDFs. Such circumstances highlight that the junta armed forces had a great loss on the ground and their junta army has started to collapse.
