The National Unity Government (NUG)

· In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, the Ministry of Women, Youth and Children’s Affairs- NUG conducted an educational talk about gender-based violence and available services to students, teachers and local people at a community-based school.

· According to the Ministry of Defence- NUG, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and Mandalay PDF took control of a junta army camp in Madayar Township of Mandalay Region.

· On Monday, there was a meeting between the Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La and Igor Driesmans, the Special Envoy of the European Union to Myanmar. Reportedly, they discussed Myanmar’s affairs.

· The Acting President of the NUG stated that to cover up their losses, the military junta had been spreading propaganda to encourage prejudices between China and Myanmar, intending to cause anti-China movements.

· The Ministry of Defence- NUG declared that PDFs had gained control of the junta’s police station in Shwe Pangone Village in Wetlet Township of Sagaing Region. Reportedly, they also caught 16 policemen alive and confiscated many weapons.

· On Monday, there was a meeting between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG and Township People’s Administration from Bago Region, Tanintharyi Region, Ayeyarwady Region and Yangon Region.

· In Japan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs- NUG met with the American Ambassador to Japan.

Revolutionary Activities

· In Mandalay, there were explosions at three junta army places on Tuesday morning.

· On Sunday, local PDFs blew up 8 MyTel telecom towers in Myingyan and Natoegyi.

· According to Football Australia, the football match between an Australian Club and a Myanmar Team had to be held in Thailand as Canberra refused to issue visas for the players from Shan United from Myanmar.

· According to the Institute for Strategy and Policy- Myanmar (ISP – Myanmar) on Monday, there was fighting in over 200 townships or 67% of the country.

· The UN Myanmar stated that over 9 million women and children in Myanmar are badly in need of humanitarian assistance.

· According to social groups, more and more Rohingya people, along with their children, have left the refugee camps in Bangladesh by boat to seek better lives as their hopes for a return to Myanmar have faded.

· In Kalay Township of Sagaing Region, local PDFs called on the public who live near the junta armed forces to move away as they would raise the momentum of fighting in the area.

· In Monywa Township, PDFs including women members shot mortars at Pyusawti members getting drunk on patrol in Tawpu Village.

· In Myeik and Dawei of Tanintharyi Region, the junta armed forces have arrested the public without any inspection.

· The Thai Embassy in Yangon issued a travel warning to its citizens living in Myanmar or travelling in the country to avoid areas with fighting for their own safety, especially Northern Shan State which is under martial law.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· In Yezwa Town of Chin State, two junta soldiers defected to a local CDF along with their weapons. Reportedly, they were rewarded with 100 lakh MMK.

· In Ponnagyun Township of Rakhine State without any local battles, junta army fire set fire to a village monastery and seriously injured two people.

· The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) announced that it had started fighting to seize the town of Lauk Kaing in Northern Shan State. On Tuesday, the fighting came near the junta’s local administration unit.

· In Namkham Township of Northern Shan State, the Shan State Progressive Party transferred 88 Chinese citizens working in Kyar Phyant on cyber frauds to China.

· In the east of Waw Town in Bago Region, a combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army attacked the junta’s police camp in Thuye Thamain Village on Monday morning. Reportedly, 8 junta members died.

· In Muu Township under Karen National Union Brigade (3), the junta army fired mortars, injuring two women.

The Military Council

· The military junta announced that three warships of the Chinese Navy had arrived at Thilawa Port in Yangon on Monday to carry out maritime security exercises between the two countries.

· In Naypyi Taw, the junta Deputy Minister of Hotel and Tourism met with a Chinese delegation on Tuesday.

· The Chair of the junta’s National Human Rights Commission attended the 20th SCANF and related meetings in Thailand from 22 to 24 November.

· The military junta threatened to take legal action against the CRPH, the NUG, the organizations under their control and the organizations associated with them.

· The second junta leader Major General Nyo Saw donated a golden lotus robe to the Maravijaya Buddha Image.

· The junta propaganda leader Major General Zaw Min Tun claimed that research by USIP backed by the US government, showed that western media outlets have been spreading propaganda and taking advantage of the situation in the northeast of the country.

Summary on 29 November

· There is still heavy fighting in Northern Shan State. Suffering great losses the military junta has been spreading propaganda via their spokespeople to motivate the junta soldiers and their family members and cover up reality.

· Assuming that China must get involved in the fighting in Shan North, the military junta ordered protests in front of the Chinese Embassy. The public needs to be cautious of such action to trigger racial prejudice.
