Yangon Region

· In Shwe Pyi Tha, staff members in the CDM and the general public made an indoors strike, holding posters- “We are fair to fight against the dictatorship” and “We will never kneel before your army boots”.

· Amidst tight security measures by the junta armed forces, members of Thingangyun Township Students’ Union- Ba-Ka-Tha protested against the military dictatorship, placing “There-must-be-war-for-peace” stickers at the lamp posts in their township.

· There were explosions at five places in Insein Township, including two junta administration offices. They happened at Nantthagone and Phawgan administration offices, near the Medicine Institute close to (1) bus stop, near Ywathit bus stop and between Bochan bus stop and (360) gas station respectively.

· U Myo Aung, the junta-appointed household leader in Ward (2) of Dagon Myothit East Township, was shot while he was sitting at a betel shop on the road corner of Kyansittha and Yazathingyan. He was injured and died on the way to the hospital. He was a relative of Ward (2) administrator. The junta armed forces arrived at the scene and inspected the passers-by.

· On Sunday morning, SANTYA, a ship from Singapore carrying aviation fuels, arrived at Thilawa Port in Yangon. Reportedly, there were security measures by the soldiers in marine force uniforms and transportation of the fuel in boxer vans without logo.

· At about 2:30 pm, there was an explosion close to the immigration office near Bayint Naung bridge in Mayangone Township. After that, the junta armed forces made at least 50 gunshots for half an hour, even in the wards.

· In Yangon where there are COVID-19 transmitted cases, the military junta has instructed basic education private schools not to do online teaching and just to teach students at schools.

· On Sunday afternoon, there was an explosion near the power station in Ward (10) of Thaketa Township. Enquiries are being made for the cause.

· At about 4:30 pm, 20 junta soldiers inspected every taxi passing through Pinlone Square, Beli bridge that joins South Okkalapa and North Dagon townships.

· The youth in South Dagon got together at a market in the township and made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship.

Mandalay Region

· At about 11:30 pm Saturday, gunfire and sound bomb explosions were heard at Dawnagone in Aungmye Thazan Township, according to a resident.

· A rally of Aungmye Thazan Schools, in cooperation with the rally of Cooperative University students, took to the streets on Sunday morning and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.

· Amidst the patrols by the junta armed forces, the Mandalay Myataung rally took to the streets against the military dictatorship.

· A rally of Manlay Pyinyat Monks’ Union made wishes and peacefully expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.

· There was an announcement in the name of Tun Taught Naing, Mdy PDF communication person, that 2 Mdy PDF members lost their lives in the fighting on 22nd June and so did 2 Kyaukse PDF members. Mdy PDF members had to lay down their arms because of the inequality in weapons and the possibility of harming the public. They were shot dead in the head at close range by the junta armed forces. The four young people who died in a Pajero car were not PDF members. The junta armed forces lost about 9 members in the fighting. Mdy PDF would keep their fight against the junta.

· Young residents of Moegoke made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship, holding signs- “I won’t let you sleep as long as I don’t close my eyes”.

· On Saturday, a woman was arrested in No. (1) newtown area of Myingyan. At about 8:30 pm Sunday, the junta armed forces raided three houses in the north of Kyaukyan village in Myingyan Township.

· At about 11:00 am Sunday, U Myint Htay, junta-appointed administrator of Thephyuwa village in Myingyan Township, was shot dead near Kyaw gas station. Seven People Defense Force- SPDF announced that they had carried it out.

· Myingyan District PDF announced on Sunday that they have been in cooperation with the armed groups in the district, guerrilla forces and other PDFs. They also called for the understanding of the public as it is not possible to let know every activity according to warfare strategy.

· Amidst tight security measures by the junta armed forces, the youth in Pyin Oo Lwin Township made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship.

Bago Region

· The rate of COVID-19 infection is on the rise in Bago Region. In Latbadan Township alone, there are more than 300 confirmed cases. There are almost no public protests against the military dictatorship.

Ayeyarwady Region

· In the morning of 23rd June, the junta armed forces arrested Ko Arkar Aung, an executive of People’s Party in Kangyidaunk Township, accusing him of being a PDF member. Reportedly, he has been out of contact since then.

Sagaing Region

· In Kalay, a policeman named Thein Than Oo had tested COVID-19 positive. He had been receiving medical treatment at a quarantine centre. On Saturday, he jumped off the three-storey building which was turned into the quarantine centre. He was injured in his head and died at 12:00 pm.

· At about 1:00 pm, Kalay PDF attacked 60 junta soldiers on patrol near Helope village on Kalay-Gantgaw road in Kalay Township. The junta armed forces lost four members. They then made firings with mortars and arrested at least 15 residents.

· Young residents of Kalay marched against the military dictatorship on Sunday evening and held an event in sorrow for Ko Zaw Htet who had been arrested and killed by the junta armed forces.

· The junta armed forces arrested Ko Saw Pyay Chan Tha, a journalist of Sagaing-based Zayar Times, on Saturday evening. In the morning, they had arrested a journalist named Ko Di Myat Nyein from the same press.

· The junta cooperative department in Sagaing has been putting pressure on staff members who got dismissed for joining the CDM to repay the COVID-loan of two-month salary.

· Chanting for the downfall of the military dictatorship, a rally comprising the villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East wore red dresses, held roses and went to the tomb of Ko Chan Myae Kyaw who had been killed by the military junta near Pathein-Monywa crossroad three months ago.

· In Salingyi Township, the rally of Latbadaung Taung General Strike expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

· At about 9:30 am Sunday, a military helicopter flew over Pale Township where convoys of military trucks had been attacked with mines and a lot of junta soldiers had died.

Magwe Region

· Aung San Ko, second sergeant at Kan local police station in Gantgaw Township, has joined the CDM as he no longer wants to work under the military junta.

· In Gantgaw Township, the junta armed forces arrested U Phay Tin, Kokka village strike leader and NLD member, on the evening of 24th June. They also raided his house. So, his family members had to run away.

· In Pakkoku Township, the locals made a protest at dawn against the military dictatorship.

· In Natmaut of Magwe Region, hundreds of residents got together and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.

Taninthayi Region

· In Longlone Township, Hteindwin villagers made a protest at dawn and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship. There were also rallies against the military dictatorship in Makyunmaw, Nyinmaw and Sitpyel villages. In the afternoon, a rally of Myakabat village expressed their objection to the military dictatorship. In the evening, the public from Nyawbyin village made a motorbike strike for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

· A rally of Dawei South went round the villages on their motorbikes on Sunday morning and protested against the military dictatorship.

· A rally of Dawei Variety Forces, in cooperation with the rally of young students, marched in town at noon, chanting anti-junta slogans.

· In Thayetchaung Township, the youth from Titutpyin village made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship.

Kachin State

· At about 6:00 am Sunday, there were explosions at the high school in Haungpa village group and near the gold mine in the compound of Haungpa North monastery in Pha-Kant Township.

· In Pha-Kant where world-famous jades have been produced, gems workers made their Kyaukwine protest against the military dictatorship. The residents of Lonekhine group made a motorbike strike in the villages and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.

Kayar State

· According to PKPF, there were up to 73 people in Kayar State who lost their lives in the battles with the junta armed forces and who were ruthlessly killed by the military junta.

· The junta armed forces have been taking away medicines and medical supplies for hospitals, which are transported to Kayar State.

Chin State

· People Defense Army- PDA was established with the youth from Kalay, Kabaw and Chin mountains. They announced that they would fight against the military junta and anyone in cooperation with the junta.

· At about 9:00 am, A military helicopter landed, carried some junta soldiers and left Mindat where military rule has been declared. Despite the ceasefire in Mindat, only half of the total population have returned home.

Mon State

· In Mawlamyein University which was carelessly reopened by the military junta, more than 100 staff members and students tested COVID-19 positive.

· The youth in Paung Township made a protest against the military dictatorship, holding posters with words of encouragement for the public in the country.

Shan State

· At about 8:00 pm Saturday, there were fire ammunitions at Nantpaw police station in Kaungka village of Muse Township. It was the combining station of soldiers, police and members of Lone Htan people’s army.

· Due to the high rate of COVID-19 infection in Lasho, stay-at-home has been declared there starting from Sunday.

· In Nammatu of Shan North, the townspeople made a paper-boat strike against the military dictatorship, making paper boats, writing anti-junta words on them and floating them in water.

· Moebye PDF announced on Sunday that they would clear the informers who disturb the Spring Revolution as well as the supporters of the military junta in Moebye, the border town of Shan-Kayar.

Rakhine State

· In Maungdaw Township, a 35-year old Myo ethnic man named Nan Khine stepped over a mine and died on the spot near Mayyu mountain range. He was on his way there to cut down bamboos. Maungdaw police station said that it was just a locally hand-made mine.

· At about 1:00 am Sunday, AA raided Mrauk-U based police force (31) stationing in Mahamuni pagoda compound in Kyauktaw Township and took away their weapons. In the afternoon, some military trucks arrived there and took security measures.

Nay Pyi Taw

· Through the mining department, the military junta has been arranging to sell brass and other metal residues worth over 50 million $ via open tenders.

· According to AAPP, there were up to 883 people who were ruthlessly killed by the military after the coup.

Summary on 27th June

· In Yangon, there were explosions and firings, in addition to guerrilla protests. The junta armed forces opened fire inside the wards near the explosions. They have been conducting mobile patrols and making inspections at the crossroads and other famous places in the city.

· Despite some explosions and fire ammunition in Mandalay the previous night, there were still public protests on the streets in the morning and at noon. The military junta has been arresting motorbikes and collecting fines all across the city. They have kept the members of their security force in secret patrols at police stations and administration offices.

· There were still public protests in big towns of other states and regions. But due to the high rate of COVID-19 infection, protests could not be conducted in some towns.

· The military junta has been carrying out activities like importing aviation fuels and calling tenders worth million $ to get foreign currency. They still have hardships concerning local money. They have been putting pressure not to close schools even though there are COVID-19 transmitted cases throughout the country. They have been confronted with a great loss due to the armed revolution and explosions. They have been making constant attacks targeting the public.
