The Military Council

  • The junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that some foreign embassies in Yangon showed their concern about the internet blackout in some townships of the country, citing false information on social media.
  • The junta Minister of Foreign Affairs announced that they rejected any human rights mechanism with political purposes and unethical assumptions as discussions about Myanmar at the UN Security Council were the ones behind the scenes.
  • According to the military junta, a perfect city plan is being drawn for Nay Pyi Taw to be a green city, clean city and smart city as it is the capital of the country.
  • According to the junta newspaper, singer E-Toe was arrested for having relations with explosive makers, sending four young people to the TNLA area to attend explosive training and having relations with the ones responsible for the explosion at Thaketa office.
  • The military junta announced that 17 young people, including former political prisoner U Yargu Nay Myint, were arrested for being members of Mingala Taung Nyunt PDF conducting protests and explosions in Yangon.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Defence- NUG announced that 15 soldiers and 14 policemen were contacted to join the public on Saturday.
  • Dr. Sasa, Minister of International Cooperation and spokesperson of the NUG, called for ongoing attention to inhumane activities of the military junta.
  • The NUG announced that the public’s government would take responsibility for bringing justice to the people who faced a loss of property due to the injustice of the military junta when they could take back full power.
  • Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management- NUG issued a summary report on their humanitarian aid from 16th April to 20th September 2021.
  • The NUG called on the public to systematically record unlawful activities of the military junta and other junta organizations with evidence and report them to complaint departments under respective ministries of the NUG.
  • The NUG announced that the interim government, transformed from the military council on 1st August 2021, their administration departments and their activities on Legislature, Executive and Judiciary were not legitimate at all.

Revolution Activities

  • Kalay PDF announced that 8 junta soldiers in ordinary cars were attacked with mines and died in Kalay Township of Sagaing Region.
  • Pinlebu PDF called on all PDFs to conduct attacks throughout the country as thousands of junta soldiers invaded Pinlebu with the blackout of telecommunications.
  • To celebrate the birthday of Ko Wai Moe Naing (Panda)- Monywa public’s protest leader, a combined rally of Monywa-Amyint road-side rural community marched against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In a village of Salingyi Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In Wetlet Township, residents of a village protested against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In Monywa, Township Basic Education Students’ Union led a march against the military dictatorship on Sunday, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Latbadaung Taung area of Salingyi Township, local people expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Sunday morning.
  • On Sunday morning, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East made a protest against the military dictatorship, with the theme- “Take part in the end game with Saffron spirit.
  • In Shwebo Township, local residents of a village marched for the end of the military dictatorship and supporting the NUG on Sunday morning.
  • In Pha-Kant Township of Kachin State, a troop of junta soldiers opened fire wildly along the way in Dwamban village at about 8:00 am Sunday.
  • According to local residents of Beelin Township in Mon State, the junta BGF made villagers, including women and children, carry their military equipment by force. Moreover, they used them as human shields along the way.
  • In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, unknown gunmen shot at one of the junta soldiers in plainclothes near the crossroad of (I) market at about 3:00 pm Sunday.
  • On Sunday morning, South Okkalapa Township Students’ Union marched for the end of the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • On Sunday morning, youth and students in Yangon conducted a protest against the military dictatorship, calling for participation in the end game with Saffron spirit.
  • In Dawei, young people led a march against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In Longlone Township, youth and students expressed their objection to the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • On Sunday, Mandalay Monks’ Union marched against the military dictatorship.
  • On Saturday, a rally of Pyi/Gun, led by Pyigyi Dagun Sayardaw, carried out a night strike against the military dictatorship to mark the 14th anniversary of the Saffron Revolution.
  • In Myingyan, there was a bomb explosion on Sunday morning. According to a local resident, 4 junta soldiers died in the incident.
  • In Myaing Township, anti-junta people made a motorbike protest against the military dictatorship on Sunday morning.
  • According to CDF Kanpetlet, the junta armed forces arrested 9 people from the IDP camp, who returned home to take things, at the airport construction site on Saturday and shot two of them dead.
  • In the fighting against combined forces of Karenni the previous day, the junta armed forces were stationed in Thaesule and Konetha villages of Dimawso Township. Reportedly, they set fire to the villagers’ houses.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Kyaukme Township of Shan North, there was fighting between RCSS and a combined force of SSPP+TNLA at Hukwet village on Sunday morning. Reportedly, 3 houses in the village were on fire and two of them were burnt down to ashes.
  • According to Loikaw PDF, one of their members named Koe Ko lost his life in a battle against the junta armed forces near Kyauksekan village in Dimawso Township of Kayah State (Karenni Area).
  • At about 8:00 am Sunday, KIA made a guerrilla attack at the junta armed forces heading towards Tanai between Kwamsaiyan and Dwamban villages. According to local residents, they had heavy fighting.
  • In Lashio Township of Shan North, there was a battle between MNDAA and the junta army between Nanhu and Mandaung villages at about 9:30 am Sunday.
  • In Pinlebu Township, the military junta had a great loss due to combined attacks of KIA and local PDFs. So, a large number of junta soldiers conducted invasion together with air strikes.
  • According to KNU Regiment (1), there were exchanges of fire between the junta army and BGF mistakenly in Thatone Township on 23rd September. Reportedly, 20 of them died in the incident.
  • According to KNU Dooplaya District, the junta army in Taungsun village of Winyay Township shot gunfire wildly and one-sidedly on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Summary on 27th September

  • Concerning statements by embassies in the country, the military junta issued warnings. Moreover, they blamed the nations in support of the NUG at the UN. On the other hand, the NUG had discussions with the international community.
  • Besides diplomatic hardships, the military junta had a great loss due to heavy battles in upper Myanmar.
  • As a combined force of PDFs became powerful with the guidance of KIA in upper Sagaing, the military junta conducted telecommunications blackout in the area and used a large number of armed forces together with airstrikes. Although military lobbyists said that the military would take control of Chin State within two weeks, it was not as easy as they thought.
  • In Kachin and Shan North, there were severe battles. The same was true for Kayah and Kayin.
  • As for Sagaing Region, they had great momentum in protests and battles. In Mandalay, Yangon, Magwe and Dawei, there were public protests as well as guerrilla attacks and clearance activities of junta-pillars.
