The Military Council

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing instructed ministries to cooperate for full taxation due to low rates of paying taxes in the country.
  • The junta leader said, “I firmly believe that with collective efforts, we will be able to reach an intermediate stage in ASEAN within 5 years and be a top country within 10 years”.
  • The junta leader said that a lot of natural gas had to be used for producing electricity and thus, it was necessary to take measures to reduce excessive use.
  • The junta leader said that he would work on economic development of the country so that foreign loans could be reduced by developing local production.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Dr. Win Myat Aye, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management-NUG, said that rehabilitation would be carried out systematically when building a true federal union after the revolution.
  • According to the Ministry of Defence-NUG, there were 126 battles and conflicts in Myanmar within one week. As for the military junta, they lost 109 members. On the other hand, 33 people lost their lives.
  • According to lawyers, State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Mr. Sean Turnell and Ministers were investigated at court in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday, with regard to their cases against Official Secrets Act.

Revolution Activities

  • In Yebyu Township of Taninthayi Region, the junta armed forces forced Thitgadoe villagers to be their guides to pass through the forest where there are land mines.
  • In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, a junta-appointed administrator of Tanaungkaigyi village and another community leader were killed on Tuesday evening on their way back from a meeting with the military junta.
  • In Tantsi Township, 4 family members of a policeman were killed by an unknown group in Gaduma village on Tuesday night.
  • After some family members of the police were murdered, the junta armed forces arrived at Kyigone village with two cars at about 10:00 am Thursday, opening gunfire wildly. Reportedly, they also set fire to the village.
  • On Thursday, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Pinlebu Township, there was a fighting between the junta army and combined PDFs on Mu river bridge at about 4:30 pm Wednesday. Reportedly, the military junta had a great loss there.
  • In Monywa Township, two military cars were attacked with mines by the Iron Guerrilla Force, led by Kunsa, at about 7:45 am Thursday.
  • In Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship in a village on Thursday.
  • In Yinma, the junta armed forces raided a house in Ward (B) on Thursday morning. Reportedly, this was the third time for them to make searches there.
  • Kawlin PDF warned the townspeople not to go out after 8:00 pm starting from Thursday.
  • In Pyigyi Dagun Township, Sein Than, a member of the junta armed forces, committed suicide by shooting his temple at Thinpangone police camp on Thursday morning.
  • In Chanmya Thazi Township, two gunmen shot at Win Naing, Myayinanda Ward administrator, and Thet Ko, 100-household leader, on Thursday morning. After the incident, the junta armed forces fire ammunition wildly.
  • On Thursday, Mandalay Monks’ Union marched against the military dictatorship.
  • On Thursday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • On Thursday, Yadanabone University students marched in honor of the martyrs and PDF hero Ko Sai Bone Min Thant who lost their lives in Spring Revolution.
  • In Mindat of Chin State, the junta armed forces fired ammunition on Tuesday night. According to local residents, the windows and walls of a church building were damaged.
  • In Mindat and Kanpetlet, there were exchanges of fire at about 8:00 pm Wednesday. Reportedly, some houses were damaged in both towns.
  • On Thursday, a southern rally of Myaing Township conducted a motorbike strike against the military watchdog.
  • Magwe Regional PDF announced on Wednesday night that they would not attack health staff, hospitals and clinics.
  • In Kyaikto Township of Mon State, the junta armed forces arrested Daw Tin Mar Lwin, Taungthusu Ward administrator, and 5 business people on Wednesday.
  • In Yay Township, local PDF set fire to a MyTel telecom tower, owned by the junta family, near Kaninkamaw village at about 9:00 pm Wednesday.
  • In Beelin Township, grenades were thrown into two pro-NLD houses on Thursday morning.
  • In Thabaung Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, the military junta collected money from villagers by force, giving the excuse of building an oxygen plant.
  • In Putao Township of Kachin State, the people’s army could not persuade anyone to join military training and thus, they lured 60-year-old men to attend a meeting and provided the training to them.
  • In Myitgyina, a MyTel office was blown up in Tatgone Ward at about 7:00 pm Wednesday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Shan North, a convoy of military trucks was attacked with 4 RPGs by MNDAA between Monelone and Namsu villages at about 11:30 am Thursday.
  • For the vacant position of DKBA’s chief military officer, deputy major general Saw Sati was promoted.

Summary on 23rd September

  • The military junta have been arranging to collect taxes in any possible ways. It seems as if the junta leader will not let go of his current position as he said that he would make Myanmar a top country in ASEAN within 10 years.
  • Day after day, local PDFs managed to conduct operations in harmony. In Sagaing, Kayar and Chin, they have great momentum in collaboration and they look like an army with powerful military skills.
  • In Mandalay, Sagaing, Magwe and Dawei, there were still powerful protests against the military dictatorship. As for Yangon, Magwe and Sagaing, they had great momentum in guerrilla revolution and informer clearance. In some townships of Mon, Ayeyarwaddy and Bago, urban revolution gained momentum.
  • In Kayin, Shan North, Chin, Kachin and upper Sagaing, there were clashes between EAOs and the junta armed forces. The military junta had to face a great loss there.
