The National Unity Government (NUG)

· During the very first trip of an NUG official to Japan, the NUG Minister of Foreign Affairs Daw Zin Mar Aung will speak to journalists and present about the ongoing democratic movements in Myanmar.

· The Ministry of Economics and Commerce- NUG has been conducting a supporting campaign for the revolution. On Wednesday, they called on the public to take part in it.

· Union Minister of Foreign Affairs- NUG called for putting pressure on the military junta and providing humanitarian aid.

Revolutionary Activities

· The coordinator of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated that Myanmar has been badly in need of more humanitarian aid. He also called for such assistance.

· In the south of Kalay Township in Sagaing Region, a combined force of local PDFs gained control of the junta camp in Yangyi Aung Village on Thursday morning.

· In Ye-U Township, no less than 5,000 people from 7 villages have had to run away as a junta convoy has been passing them on their way to Taze, a town with battles.

· In Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region, there were exchanges of fire between local PDFs and the junta armed forces from Kyaukmetaung Police Station and Hainda Camp on Thursday morning. Reportedly, a mortar fired by the junta soldiers fell on a house, killing 3 civilians including a child.

· On Wednesday, there were some casualties among the migrants who had returned home from Lauk Kaing in Northern Shan State as they were fired on by the junta army on their arrival at Tasetan Gate at the town exit.

· According to the passenger express, the Myitgyina-Mandalay Union Road was reopened on Wednesday after being temporarily closed for a week.

· On Thursday morning, heavy weapons fired by the junta army fell on the bus terminal at Kyin San Kyauk, a border trade post with China in Muse. Reportedly, trucks were on fire there.

· On Wednesday, the United Nations stated that over 286,000 people had to leave home due to recent fighting between the junta army and ethnic revolutionary forces. They added that it was the highest intensity of fighting since the military coup in 2021.

· In Kalay, a gallon of petrol costs up to 50,000MMK. According to local people, they have had to face the high cost of living as well.

· In Phyuu Township of Bago Region, 4 junta members including a police officer died in fighting near Hsin Muttaw Village. Reportedly, 4 weapons were confiscated.

· In Madayar Township of Mandalay Region, the junta army had great losses during fighting in Thonesepay Village. After that, they set fire to over 20 houses.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· The Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (Pekone Zone) announced that it is a decisive time for the Spring Revolution and it is necessary for the general public to take part to write together the history of the revolution.

· In Northern Rakhine State and Paletwa Township in Chin State, there has been heavy fighting between the Arakan Army (AA) and junta armed forces.

· In Falam Township of Chin State, Chin revolutionary forces took control of the junta army camps in the town of Rih Kaw Dar. According to Chin National Front on Wednesday, it was the very first liberated town in Chin State and thus, they would implement a public administration.

· In Lauk Kaing Town in the Kokang Area, the junta army shot at a vehicle of displaced people. The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army stated that no less than 14 people lost their lives.

· In Titain Township of Chin State, PDF Zoland took control of the junta camp on Mount Canady on Tuesday. They also released a video in which they caught the junta soldiers who ran away from the fighting.

The Military Council

· In the EC meeting, the chair of the junta UMFCCI told business people to handle the current withdrawal of a large sum of money at banks.

· On Tuesday, the junta’s Myanmar Ambassador to China met with Liu Jinsong, the Director General of the Asian Affairs Department in Beijing, China.

· In Loikaw with battles even in the downtown area, the military junta has mobilized its forces all over the town.

· The military junta announced that it would take legal action against the users of satellite internet equipment who do not have a license. They would also do the same to the users of satellite equipment including satellite phones, radio and radar communication devices without licences under Section (67) of the communication law.

· As part of Welcome Russia Project to attract Russian tourists, the military junta has been providing three-month training in basic Russian language to hotel staff in Naypyi Taw.

· On Wednesday morning, a Thai delegation led by Air Chief Marshal Punpakdee Pattanakul and his wife arrived in Naypyi Taw.

Summary on 24 November

· On the border with China, the military junta has had to let go of their towns and camps. They seem to consider that China might get involved in it and so have approached China again.

· Violating human rights, the military junta has cut off internet access. The public has had to rely on satellite internet systems. Regarding this use, the junta army threatened legal action.
