The National Unity Government (NUG)

· Daw Zin Mar Aung, the Union Minister of Foreign Affairs- NUG, attended the Japan - Myanmar Relations: Past, Present and Future Seminar.

· In Myaung Township of Sagaing Region, the Local Public’s Administration provided food to 597 people from a village, who had to flee fighting.

· According to the military headquarters of the Ministry of Defence- NUG, the Palaung State Liberation Front Ta’ang National Liberation Army (the PSLF/ TNLA) and Mandalay PDF attacked and confiscated a large number of weapons from 4 junta detention centers in battles in Northern Shan State.

· On Monday, there was a meeting between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG and Township People’s Administrations from Sagaing Region, Magwe Region and Mandalay Region.

· The Chief Executive Officer of the Spring Development Bank stated thatin three days it had earned up to five million USD via advanced orders for the shares in the bank.

· After the NUG seized Kawlin Town in Sagaing Region, it found out that the junta Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement had not provided aid to the displaced people and they had just kept the relief items. Reportedly, the NUG gave those things to the displaced people.

Revolutionary Activities

· On Tuesday morning, Myanmar Witness announced that they it found out a plane runway was being constructed in the area of the junta army Regiment (66) based in the town of Inma of Thegone Township in Bago Region.

· In Thonese Township, local PDFs attacked a junta police station in honour of Operation 1027 by the Three Brotherhood Alliance in Northern Shan State.

· In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, the junta armed forces have been stationed at some schools.

· Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) called for the protection of hospitals, clinics, patients and healthcare staff at the time of battles in great momentum throughout the country.

· In Magwe Region, a junta vehicle was hit with mine on the Yesagyo-Myaing Road Section. Afterwards, the junta army tried to take any vehicles passing it. So, local PDFs called on the public not to travel there.

· In Myaung Township of Sagaing Region, the strike committees, on behalf of donors, provided food to PDF members on Tuesday.

· In Wetlet Township, the PDF attacked the junta police station in Shwe Pangone Village. Reportedly, there were casualties and the station was burnt down.

· In Kawkarait Township of Kayin State, the junta army fired heavy weapons into the town. Reportedly, two people lost their lives.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· Chinland Defence Force- Matupi announced that it would fight more in revenge for the loss of civilians and children in the junta’s aerial bombings.

· The Karenni Nationalities Defence Force released a video showing a non-CDM rector, lecturers and their families from Loikaw University being accommodated safely.

· In Titain Township of Chin State, PDF Zoland attacked and took control of the junta army camp in Canady Mountain.

· In the town of Lailinpi, a combined force of CDFs attacked the junta camp. After that, the junta army conducted an air strike.

· In Operation 1027 by the Brotherhood of Northern Alliance, the TNLA has gained control of no less than 46 junta army cams.

· Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) announced that it was the best escape for the junta armed forces to give up arms.

· In Operation 1027 by the Northern Alliance, more than 200 junta camps have been seized so far.

The Military Council

· In Namsam Township of Ta’ang Palaung Self-Administered Division in Northern Shan State, the junta army dropped 500-pound bombs via air. Consequently, two people including a child lost their lives and 7 others were injured.

· In Mandalay, the military junta has increased security measures around the moat where the junta armed forces have been stationed.

· The junta army shot at a vessel carrying students who had taken distance education exams from Sittway University.

· In Rakhine State, 6 policemen from Kyauktaw Police Station defected to the Arakan Army.

· The junta Union Election Commission abolished the Kokang Democratic Party from the list of political parties.

· Major General Zaw Min Tun claimed that the basic education schools would not close and they would continue to open normally.

· The junta propaganda team announced that it had cleared the destruction and barriers of the armed forces on the Pyin Oo Lwin- Naung Cho – Kyaukme- Lasho Union Road. It added that the public can now go up to Kyaukme normally like before.

· The junta Minister of Hotel and Tourism invited China to invest in the tourism sector of Myanmar.

· The junta Union Election Commission approved the application of the Khit Thit Public’s Party and the Liberty Party to register as political parties.

Summary on 22 November

· As a negative consequence of the military coup, there have been battles all over the country. At such times, the junta Minister of Hotel and Tourism called on China to make investments in the tourism sector. In other words, her efforts might just be in vain.

· The military junta has had to let go of border towns and their camps in Northern Shan State. Although they are trying too hard to send support troops, they have just ended up around Kyaukme and Naungcho.
