The National Unity Government (NUG)

· On Monday, Inkapu Township People’s Administration announced that there would be serious action against non-CDM staff in accordance with the existing law. They also urged such employees to join the public.

· In Monywa District of Sagaing Region, the Ministry of Defence- NUG equipped a local PDF named Devils with 5 guns.

· In Pinlebu Township of Sagaing Region, the Local People’s Administration of the NUG set up a management committee for non-CDM staff.

· On 17 and 18 November, there were meetings between the Ministry of Communication, Information and Technology- NUG and international fundraisers.

· On 17 November, the Ministry of Health- NUG presented to the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) about their activities and action plans.

Revolutionary Activities

· In Mae Sot in Thailand, the Freedom Tattoo Campaign will be conducted. Reportedly, it was led by Kim, the younger son of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi.

· At 6:00 pm on Sunday, there was a meeting between the Interim Higher Education Universities’ Council and the Organizing Committee of the CDM Staff Conference.

· In Karenni State, the revolutionary forces found and detained Colonel Khine Thant Moe aged 43 from the junta fighter jet which had been hit by gunfire and before crashing.

· In Tamu Township of Sagaing Region, there has been heavy fighting between Pyusawti members with junta soldiers and the Alliance of Revolution forces in Pantha Village for 12 days.

· In Khin-U, a soldier from the junta army stationed at the local hospital defected to a local PDF along with his weapons. Reportedly, he was rewarded with 50 lakh MMK.

· On the border between India and Myanmar, a total of 142 junta soldiers and their family members ran to India in local battles in November.

· In Lauk Kaing of Northern Shan State, a liter of petrol cost 100,000MMK on Monday.

· In Pyaw Bwe of Mandalay Region, U San Tun, a lawyer and a member of the junta’s local administration, was shot.

· On 17 November, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that there was an extra 26,000 internally displaced people due to fighting between the junta army and Arakan Army in Rakhine State.

· On 16 November, the International Court of Justice announced that Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Britain would jointly get involved in the lawsuit bought by Gambia against Myanmar under the charge of genocide.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· In Northern Shan State on the China-Myanmar border, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) attacked the junta’s Sakhanthit Camp near Namkham on 18 November. As the junta army used chemical weapons, some of the TNLA members got poisoned and had to receive medical treatment.

· On the Mobye-Pekone border in Southern Shan State, 3 junta soldiers from Loilinlay ran away with their weapons and defected to Pekone PDF.

· In Phapun District under Karen National Union Brigade (5), 4 fully-armed junta soldiers defected to the KNU.

· In Naungcho Township of Northern Shan State, the junta army conducted an air strike on Dopin Police Station. Reportedly, 4 prisoners of war died and many others were injured.

The Military Council

· In Thingangyun Township in Yangon Region, the junta administrators and Pyusawti members have been collecting taxes from the owners of bicycles and motorbikes, saying that they have to obtain licenses.

· The Vice-Chair of the junta Central Bank stated that the public might face theft and robbery if they withdraw large sums of money from the banks without necessity and keep it at home.

· The military junta announced that a total of 1,017 Chinese citizens: 935 men and 82 women, had been found living illegally on the border and they had been transferred to the relevant personnel in China.

· The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing encouraged the junta soldiers receiving medical treatment at the 1000-bed Naypyi Taw Hospital.

Summary on 21 November

· The revolutionary forces detained the junta’s pilot. After his interrogation, the commanders who ordered the aerial bomb attacks that killed civilians must be identified and action must be taken against them and they should be charged with war crimes.

· The military junta threatened the public and said that it would keep a watch on those who withdraw money from banks. In addition, the junta Central Bank claimed that those with withdrawals might face robbery. In other words, the military junta has been concerned about the collapse of the banking system.
