The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG Union Prime Minister financially praised revolutionary groups for not taking part in the junta Thingyan and highlighting the real situation by chanting slogans online.
  • In an interview with RFA, the NUG Minister of Defense said that PDFs in cooperation with their allies were getting ready to defeat the military junta.
  • In an interview with RFA, the NUG Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs said that they had received a response from the U.S government and parliament supporting the NUG.
  • According to a Yangon Regional PDF representative, they attacked a Myanmar Beer factory owned by the military junta with 40mm grenades at the factory of Myanmar Beer, as a part
  • of the Nan Htike Aung Operation targeting businesses.

Revolutionary Activities

  • The General Strike Coordination Body called on the public to wear blue shirts on Thursday to show that they stand with political prisoners in memory of the journalist Hanthawaddy U
  • Win Tin who passed away 8 years ago.
  • AAPP called for a Blue Movement on the 8 th anniversary of the passing of journalist Hanthawaddy U Win Tin.
  • On the 437 th day of protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • In Shwebo Township in Sagaing Region, a rally of villagers marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday, holding signs in support of the NUG.
  • On their 406 th day of protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • In Myinmu Township, there was an attack on junta soldiers doing mine clearance operations at 10:15 am on Tuesday. According to CDSOM, 10 members of the junta armed forces
  • died.
  • At about 8:30 am on Tuesday, an alliance of four local PDFs conducted a mine operation against the junta army leaving Monywa. Reportedly, 16 junta soldiers died and a military car
  • was damaged.
  • In Shwebo Township, BLACK WOLF-PDF attacked a car carrying five members of the junta armed forces on the Shwebo-Kyaukmyaung Road at 4:45 pm Tuesday.
  • Reportedly, three junta soldiers died and two Pyu Saw Htee members were injured.
  • In Pale Township, there were two clashes between the junta army and the M.R.D.A. on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, about seven junta soldiers died.
  • In Ayadaw Township, a combined force of local PDFs conducted an attack with drones on the junta armoured vehicles on Tuesday.
  • Ma Aye Nandar Soe, Chair of the Sagaing University of Education Students’ Union, was arrested by the military junta seven months ago. So far, no one has heard form her and ino
  • one knows where she has been detained.
  • According to Civic Defense Militia-CDM (Siyin) on Tuesday, a sergeant clerk from the junta army in Kalay joined them.
  • In Mingaladone Township in Yangon Region, a regional PDF conducted an attack with 40mm grenades on the Myanmar Beer factory, owned by the junta army, at about 4:00 pm
  • Tuesday, as a business target of the Nan Htike Aung Operation.
  • In Thaketa Township, Kaung Kyaw, a clown, was arrested by the junta army at his house at 10:00 pm on Tuesday.
  • Khayan PDF warned the public to take more precautions as the military junta might raid townships in the southern part of Yangon.
  • In Bahan Township, a local guerrilla force carried out a bomb attack at Myat Myitta Mon gas station on Tuesday.
  • According to the PBYSC on Tuesday, 13 of its members were arrested and two others died fighting the junta in the past year.
  • The Boys Army warned the public to keep away from the junta armed forces and not to touch anything which has nothing to do with them.
  • In Ngaputaw Township in Ayeyarwaddy Region, U Zaw Tun, the junta administrator of Ngabyema Village, was shot dead by Pathein Western Defence Force (PWDF) at 8:30
  • pm on Tuesday.
  • In Patheingyi Township in Mandalay Region, Kyaw Ye Aung, a former captain and manager of the junta electricity office, was shot dead on Tuesday evening.
  • In Kyaukse Township, the Local Defense Force and their allies attacked the police station in Than Village at 4:00 am on Tuesday.
  • In a village in Natogyi Township, farmers expressed their objections to the military dictatorship on Wednesday by chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • Natmauk PDF announced on Tuesday that their name had been changed to Midland Regional Headquarters, Military Area (3), Brigade (902).
  • In Gangaw in Magwe Region, there was an ambush on a junta police car on its way to support the administration office in Sibin Ward at 10:00 am on Monday. According to the
  • YDF, four police members, including a township officer, died.
  • In Tilin Township, a local PDF released a video of their attack when they took control of a police station in Kyin Village on 17 April.
  • In Thayetchaung Township in Tanintharyi Region, there was fighting between the junta army and a local PDF on Wednesday morning. Reportedly, seven junta soldiers died.
  • In Hpakant in Kachin State, local people marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Wednesday. They also showed their support for the KIA, PDF and NUG.
  • According to the PKPF, 967 houses in Karenni State and Pekone Township in Shan South were damaged in attacks by the junta armed forces.
  • On Tuesday, Play2Donate allowed people to donate to the revolution when using their Nway Oo Video App to watch a selection of videos including international football
  • matches.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Namsam Township in Shan North, a representative of the TNLA said that nine staff members of the military junta, including a judge of Kyaukme District Court, had been
  • detained at a safe place.
  • In Taungoo District under KNU Brigade (2), there was a mine attack on two junta soldiers on patrolling the Thantaung-Taungoo road section at 6:30 am Wednesday. Reportedly, they
  • died in the incident.
  • In Beelin Township in Mon State under KNU Brigade (1), the KNDO warned the junta army to leave Laykay Camp and Wintapan Camp by 23 April at the latest.
  • Starting at 6:00 am on Wednesday, there was heavy fighting between the junta army and the Karenni combined forces on Shan-Karenni border. Reportedly, both sides might have
  • suffered casualties.

The Military Council

  • In a meeting with coffee growers and business owners in Pyin Oo Lwin on Tuesday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said again that they must make efforts so that Myanmar coffee can
  • penetrate the global market.
  • In an interview with RFA, the junta propaganda leader said that they would not send any representatives to the U.S-ASEAN Summit in May if a high-ranking official was not allowed to
  • join and only a person without political position was invited.
  • On Tuesday, the military junta stated that there was enough fuel oil. However, hordes of people queued at gas stations on Wednesday and the amount of fuel available for ferry
  • vehicles of departmental staff was reduced.
  • On Tuesday, there was a meeting between the junta Chair of Union Election Commission and the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw. Reportedly, they discussed
  • investigations into political parties.
  • On Tuesday, there were negotiations between the junta Ministry of Trade and Commerce and fuel oil import companies to ensure smooth import procedures for fuel oil. According to
  • the junta newspaper, they agreed to aloow the public to purchase unlimited amounts of fuel at gas stations.
  • The military junta announced that the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Nay Pyi Taw as well as a member of the Municipal Committee had been charged under the anti-corruption law.
  • The junta University of Forestry and the University of Agriculture announced when they would be reopened.
  • In the four days since cinemas were forced to reopen throughout the country, very few people have been to the cinema.
  • A letter from the military junta came out with instructions to sent troops to Tanintharyi Region and conduct violent activities against villagers if necessary.
  • On Tuesday, the junta administration announced acurfew from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am in Kawkareik Township in Karen State, saying it was needed for security.

  • been trying to use diplomatic routes to put pressure on the international community to declare more economic santions against the military junta and to treat them as an
  • illegitimate government.
  • The military junta hoped that one of their high-ranking representatives would be invited to the U.S.-ASEAN Summit. The junta propaganda leader said that they would not send a
  • representative if an invitation was only sent out for a person with no political ties to attend.
  • Throughout the country, revolutionary activities were still gaining momentum. In the areas with powerful anti-junta movements the junta armed forces have suffered great losses and
  • local PDFs have got the better of them. There might soon be more attacks on the junta army all over the country.
