The National Unity Government (NUG)

· At 3:00 pm Monday, there was a meeting among Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), Australian MP Janelle Saffin and Professor Joseph Lo Bianco. Reportedly, they discussed federal education.

· At 3:00 pm Monday, there was a meeting (37/2023) between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Township People’s Administration Teams from Sagaing Region.

· In KyarIn Seikgyi Township of Kayin State, a combined force of Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and PDF-9903 attacked the junta army invading Kale Village. According to the PDF Headquarters, 10 junta soldiers including an officer died.

· On Mawlamyein-Yay-Dawei No. (8) Union Road, the KNLA and the PDF conducted inspection for local security.

· On the list of the individuals and organizations selected for the Nobel Peace Prize issued by the Director of Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) based in Norway were Myanmar’s Ambassador to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun and the National Unity Consultative Council.

Revolution Activities

· In Paletwa Township of Chin State, an unknown armed group arrested the junta’s acting police officer of the police station in Sami on the night of 16 September.

· In Kawlin of Sagaing Region, there was an attack on the junta soldiers indulging pleasures at a KTV in Ngapwaylay Ward. Reportedly, there were casualties among them.

· On Tuesday, a combined rally of Salingyi Township and Yinmabin Township led a march in support of U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the UN.

· In Myaung Township, the students and teachers from 31 self-help schools have been in need of assistance.

· In Pale Township, the PDFs conducted an ambush on a troop of 100 junta soldiers near Mindinebin Village. Reportedly, 4 junta members were seriously injured.

· In Minkin Township, a military ship carrying Pyusawti members from Panset Village sank in the Chindwin River at about 11:00 am Tuesday. Reportedly, there were a large number of fatalities.

· On Tuesday, General Strike Coordination Body called on the international community not to get silent and to put pressure on Chinese Wan Bao and Yancy companies in cooperation with the military junta for an excuse of copper mining in Salingyi Township.

· In Pulaw Township of Tanintharyi Region, 7 PDF members lost their lives and 6 others went missing in a battle near Myadaung Village on Monday.

· In Yay Township of Mon State, Police Officer Myint Lwin, the focal person of the junta Information Force, was shot dead by the local revolution force.

· In Gantgaw Township of Magwe Region, 3 local people lost their lives and 7 others including 3 children were injured due to the heavy artillery fired by the junta army.

· Urban Special Operation (U.S.O) announced that they would soon get started with an Urban Special Operation to attack the junta targets in big cities including Yangon.

· On Monday, Equality Myanmar announced that compared with men, women and LGBTQI have had to suffer more from the oppression and violence of the junta security forces.

· On Tuesday, Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the Foreign Ministry in Britain announced that they had advised not to travel in two thirds of the areas in Myanmar.

· In Mone Township under Karen National Union Brigade (3), the junta army had a great loss in local battles. Afterwards, they have constantly targeted civilians in their attacks.

· The public have called for a boycott of the artists who performed at the anniversary event of Myanmar National Airways, which was joined by the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· According to the focal person of Demoso PDF, they have already released the family members of the junta army, who ran away due to local battles in Mese on the border of Thailand in Karenni State.

· In Muse Township of Northern Shan State and Moegok, there has been heavy fighting between the junta army and Ta’ang National Liberation Army until Monday.

· In Nyaunglebin District under the KNU, 5 local people got injured whereas damages occurred to domesticated animals and buildings due to the mortars shot by the junta army.

The Military Council

· The Special Envoy of Asian Affairs under the Foreign Ministry of China has been in Myanmar. According to the junta propaganda media, he met with the junta Minister of Foreign Affairs in Naypyidaw on Monday.

· In Thanphyu Zayat of Mon State, two motorbikes were stolen at the township court of the military junta.

· According to the junta Immigration and Population Department in Muse District, they have allowed 500 people daily to go into China using a Temporary Border Pass.

· According to the Director of the junta Department of Archaeology and national Museum (Mandalay Region), they will raise the entrance fees of tourists in cultural zones like Inwa and Pinya.

· On Monday, Soe Win, the junta Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, met with the delegation led by Myanmar’s Regional Representative of International Committee of Red Cross at the Ministry Hall.

Summary on 20 September

· The junta armed forces have been robbing villages. There have also been situations where property has been stolen from defendants in junta courts. It is a great concern when it comes to security of the public.

· The representatives from China have had frequent meetings with the military junta. As for the revolution forces, they will have to watch such a situation with caution.
