The Military Council

  • In Zayar Thiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, a thousand lights offering ceremony was held at Shwe Bone Pwint Stupa on Dasaungmone full moon night. According to the junta media, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Kyu Kyu Hla were present on the occasion.
  • The military junta announced that 3 hotels in Yangon Region were given certificates of providing services in accordance with COVID-19 preventive measures.
  • The junta newspaper said that on the special occasion of Dasaungmone full moon day, pagodas and religious buildings in Myanmar were crowded with those doing meritorious deeds.
  • The military junta had announced that for those involved in filming, music, traditional performance, press and media who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, loan applications could be submitted from 25th October to 19th November. They announced again that the deadline was extended to 3rd December.
  • The military junta announced that due to the attacks of the NUG and PDFs, 198 administration personnel had died and about 148 others had been injured.
  • The military junta announced on Friday that U Phyo Zayar Thaw, NLD MP, had been arrested.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG made an announcement warning the junta electricity and energy departments not to carry out operations of the military junta and not to demand a two-month salary allowance by the CRPH and the NUG.
  • According to Ministry of Defence-NUG, 4 soldiers and a police member made contact on Friday to join the public as they could no longer accept the military dictatorship.
  • The NUG announced that they would collect evidence for the cases in which junta soldiers had committed sexual violence against women and then they would proceed for justice as soon as possible.
  • The NUG called on international governments and organizations, including the UN, to cooperate and support their efforts to put an end to lack of legal action against those who committed sexual violence targeting women during conflict.

Revolution Activities

  • As a 254-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In Kalaywa Township of Sagaing Region, a convoy of junta-appointed regional chief minister was attacked with mines by local PDF somewhere in Maha Myaing Forest on Friday morning.
  • In Kalay, the junta armed forces were attacked with mines by local PDFs on Thursday. After that, junta soldiers set fire to the public’s houses in near-by villages.
  • In Shwebo Township, local people went around a village on Friday morning and expressed their desire against the military dictatorship.
  • As a 285-day protest, Kalay residents marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Friday morning.
  • According to a member of Kalay PDF, the military junta had to use their trainee officers in frontline attacks in Kalay Township.
  • In Saw Township of Magwe Region, the junta armed forces conducted an invasion on land, in addition to air attacks by 2 fighter jets. Reportedly, they had heavy battles against YDF, PDF Saw, CDF Mindat and CDF Kanpetlet.
  • In Tilin Township, there was a fighting between the junta army and local PDFs near Tanbingone village on Wednesday. According to YDF Tilin, 13 members of their force and a member of CDF Mindat lost their lives whereas 3 others were injured. For the military junta, 10 soldiers died and many others were injured.
  • In Yesagyo Township, a military truck was attacked with mines by local PDF at 6:00 pm Thursday.
  • The junta armed forces have been killing civilians for no apparent reason. According to local residents, they shot dead U Myint Win from Pakkoku, Mg Wai Yan Aung from Moegoke and Ko Kyaw Soe Win from Aung Pan.
  • According to CNDF, police officer Ya Hle Tan, who had been inquiring about CDM staff in Phalan Township of Chin State and about CNDF, was arrested on Thursday.
  • In Pyin Oo Lwin of Mandalay Region, local people carried out a protest against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • At about 1:00 pm Friday, there was a bomb explosion at Myintha vehicle registration office between South Okkalapa Township and Thingangyun Township in Yangon Region.
  • According to local residents, there was shooting and bomb explosions in some townships of Yangon, including Insein, Hlaing Thaya and Mayangone, on Thursday night.
  • At about 8:00 am Friday, a large number of the junta armed forces invaded Mobye Township on the Shan-Kayah border. According to PKPF, junta soldiers were mobilized fully in the area. On the other hand, local PDFs were preparing for defensive attacks.
  • At 8:00 pm on 16th November, U Myo Zaw, a CDM railway staff, was arrested by the junta army in railway staff housing in Aung Pan of Shan South.
  • In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, youth and students marched against the military dictatorship on Friday morning, holding signs for the immediate release of Kalay PDF medical members and other people in detention.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

In Monekoe of Shan North, there was a heavy fighting between the junta army and MNDAA starting 11:00 am Friday.

Summary on 19th November

  • There were ongoing battles between Kalay PDFs and the junta armed forces. The same was true for Magwe Region. Reportedly, the military junta used even helicopters in their attacks. As a large number of junta soldiers went to Kayah, and there might be heavy battles in the area.
  • After the military junta had to admit in interviews with international media that they could not take control the above areas, they made an effort to fight against PDFs with extreme use of weapons.
  • Due to powerful PDFs and extreme crackdowns of the military junta, there might be battles all over the country.
