The National Unity Government (NUG)

· In Wuntho Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army Ka-Ma-Ya (120) fired mortars into Kandy Wuntha Yarma Monastery without any battle, leaving a teacher and 20 students injured. Regarding it, the Ministry of Human Rights-NUG announced that they would try their best to take action against those junta soldiers.

Revolution Activities

· In Tanintharyi Township of Tanintharyi Region, the number of displaced people has increased up to over 6,000. Reportedly, they have faced insufficient food due to the high cost of living.

· In Kani Township of Sagaing Region, anti-junta movies were shown at an IDP camp for three nights, making a night strike against the military dictatorship.

· In Pale Township, the PDFs rescued and protected 3 households who had run away from Zeephyugone Village due to the threat of Pyusawti members under the military junta.

· In Kachin State, Kachin Independence Army and KPDF repeatedly attacked a junta vessel at the entrance to Shweku. Reportedly, it was docked at Sinkan Jetty.

· In Chaung-U Township of Sagaing Region, local PDF conducted two mine attacks on the junta troops who had killed comrades and the public.

· On Sunday, Wetlet Township General Strike Committee and the public led a march against the military dictatorship.

· In Mae Sot of Thailand, there was a trade fair at The Space Youth Learning Centre. Reportedly, the sellers included revolutionists and revolution forces to raise funds for the revolution.

· In a district of Thailand, there was a football match themed ‘Let’s support the PDFs to brighten the future generation’ to raise funds for the Spring Revolution.

· In Paungty Township of Bago Region, the PDF confiscated weapons from the junta army which had retreated after the battle.

· In Natoegyi Township of Mandalay Region, there was an attack on the junta army stationed in Nabudaw Village. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers.

· In Natoegyi Township, there were bomb attacks via drone on the junta Police Station and a construction office. Reportedly, 5 junta policemen died.

· In South Korea, a combined rally of the MFDMC and Myanmar people expressed their support for Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun to remain as Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the UN.

· In Insein Township of Yangon Region, there was a bomb explosion near Inwa Bank owned by the junta army on Saturday night.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· In Falam Township of Chin State, a child soldier from the junta army, along with weapons, defected to Chin National Defence Force.

· On 29 September, the junta propaganda media stated that 28 members of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army had joined the military junta. According to Kokang sources, it was just a political trick of the junta army.

· In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, a combined force of Kachin Independence Army and PDF attacked the junta’s Sengtaung Police Station. In response, the junta army shot mortars into villages, injuring 3 villagers.

· The spokesperson of Karen National Union stated that the meeting of the team led by former Chair with the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing had nothing to do with the KNU.

· The spokesperson of the CNDF stated that a junta soldier had defected to them, along with weapons.

· In Shwekyin Township of Bago Region, the junta army arrested 3 people from Bazunmyaung Village for no apparent reason. Reportedly, they killed two of them.

The Military Council

· In Beijing China, there was a meeting between the Prime Minister of China and the junta’s Myanmar Ambassador to China after the ceremony on the 74th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China. Reportedly, China stated that they would keep close relations for the interest of the two countries.

· The junta Chief Minister of Yangon Region stated that they would collect sample census in 20 townships from 1 to 15 October.

· On Saturday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing met with the team led by a Karen ethnic leader Saw Mutu Say Poe in Naypyidaw and they discussed peace.

Summary on 2 October

· The military junta tends to spread false news and propaganda. They do it when they face a great loss in terms of political or military affairs. Recently, they told a lie that 28 members of the MNDAA had joined them, after the news came out that Wa Army and Kokang had met.

· Saw Mutu Say Poe, former Chair of the KNU, met with the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing. They spread the propaganda claiming the KNU would discuss peace to delay the revolution. Regarding it, the KNU sharply claimed that the meeting had nothing to do with them at all.
