The Military Council

  • The second junta leader Soe Win said that activities were being carried out to reopen schools after a long holiday period of October. It was also necessary for all basic middle and high school students to get fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • The second junta leader Soe Win said that a target had been set for 50% of the population aged above 18 in the country to get the COVID-19 vaccination by the end of December.
  • Tin Aung San, the junta minister of Transportation and Communication, said that harbours must be upgraded and modernized to be able to provide effective services for the volume of marine trade which has been on the rise year after year.
  • U Mg Mg Ohn, the junta minister of Communication, said that media people need to work in accordance with media ethics without any bias for or against parties or policies.
  • The second junta leader Soe Win said that coordinations were being made to be able to produce vaccines in the country with a ready-to-fill system before the end of the year.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG made an announcement in honour of PDFs protecting resources of the country.
  • The NUG announced that Man Win Khine Than, Prime Minister of the Union, had sent a statement of honour to the People’s Republic of China for their National Day.
  • The NUG announced that there were 3 fair defensive wars in Kachin State, Taninthayi Region and Sagaing Region on Thursday. There were also 9 soldiers and 7 policemen who made contact to join the public.
  • Ministry of Economics and Commerce- NUG will conduct 9-month courses for Diploma in International Trade and Diploma in International Business with 3 semesters. Reportedly, applications can be submitted to [email protected].
  • Among 75 winners of the Spring Lottery by the NUG, 62 people donated their prize money back.

Revolution Activities

  • Throughout the country, the junta armed forces have been stationing with the excuse for security. Reportedly, they have been asking money openly from car drivers.
  • According to army documents which went viral online, there was a bomb explosion at the Procurement Directorate under the Ministry of Defence in Nay Pyi Taw the previous day.
  • In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces raided Pyintaung village on Friday morning and opened fire. Reportedly, 2 people, including a 5-year old child, died and no less than 50 people were arrested. The houses were set on fire as well.
  • On Friday, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship.
  • At about 7:00 am Friday, a bomb exploded at a tea-shop in downtown area of Kyunghla. Reportedly, a military officer died and so did a civilian.
  • On Friday morning, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East expressed their desire for supporting the NUG and against the military dictatorship.
  • In Shwebo Township, local residents of a village marched in support of the NUG on Friday morning. They also expressed their objection to the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • According to YDF Saw/Kyauktu, over 30 junta soldiers died in the battles between the junta army and a combined force of local PDFs+CDF Kanpetlet from 25th to 29th September. As for local PDFs, 3 members were injured.
  • Via social media, Kani Township PDF announced on Friday that they had successfully conducted batch (11) of basic military training.
  • In Khin-U Township, the junta armed forces arrived at Pyintaung village at about 5:00 am Friday and fired ammunition. According to local residents, a child aged 5 was hit with a bullet and died. Some people were also injured.
  • According to Kantbalu PDF, U Kyaw Khin, junta-appointed administrator of Thintaw village, was shot dead on the spot at about 8:30 pm Wednesday.
  • In southern Myaing Township of Magwe Region, local people conducted a motorbike strike against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • Kyauktu IDP Management Committee announced that they had bought 100 bags of rice on credit for the emergency needs of IDPs in Saw Township.
  • In Bagan Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region, Thein Zaw Min, allegedly an informer to the junta in U-Yin village, and his wife were shot at about 8:00 am Friday while they were riding a motorbike. Reportedly, his wife died on the spot.
  • In Taungtha Township, U Kyaw San, junta-appointed administrator of San-U village, and Daw Yin Htay were shot dead by a local guerrilla force on Thursday morning.
  • On Thursday night, Mandalay Monks’ Union recited Parittas for the public as usual and protested against the military dictatorship. They also called for unity of the public, saying “Local strength comes first, followed by international community”.
  • In North Dagon Myothit Township of Yangon Region, Koe Chaung, a motorbike taxi driver and allegedly an informer to the junta in Ward 5, was shot dead on Union road at about 7:30 pm Thursday. Reportedly, Little Heroes carried out the attack.
  • According to local residents of Thingangyun Township, a grenade was thrown into a house of junta informer in Thuwunna (25) Ward at about 4:45 pm Thursday.
  • In south west of Tantalang in Chin State, junta soldiers from the camp near Wanthu village were brought back in a military helicopter at about 10:30 am Thursday.
  • CNO announced that 2 soldiers and 8 policemen of the junta armed forces joined the CNDF in September, together with their weapons.
  • In a village of Longlone Township, youth led a march against the military dictatorship on Thursday night, banging pots and pans.
  • In Monekoe Township of Shan North, a man stepped on a mine laid by the junta army in Phaungsai village. Reportedly, his legs were injured.
  • On Friday, Lasho Nursing Training School Students’ Union warned a non-CDM headmistress and other servants of the military junta for telling lies to CDM students to join the training.
  • Amidst the news for arrest of cars and motorbikes without a licence, there was a mine explosion at the vehicle registration office in Myitkyina at about 9:00 am Friday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Kawkarait of Kayin State, DKBA attacked junta soldiers who were in charge of security on Asia road for the trip of Major Ko Ko Mg, regional military officer, at about 9:00 am Friday. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers died and a high-ranking military officer was hit with a bullet in his thigh.
  • In Monekoe Township of Shan North, there was heavy fighting between MNDAA and the junta army near Kaungdut and Kaunglone villages from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm the previous day.
  • In Moemauk, there was a battle between the KIA and the junta army invading Lonegya village on Thursday morning.

Summary on 1st October

  • Despite their efforts for normal operation of administration and trade flow, the military junta cannot make it due to the strong CDM and poor performance.
  • As for the NUG, they have been trying hard to gain the recognition of the international community. They have also been working for the operation of the administration.
  • In Kayar State, a police force was established with CDM police. There are also healthcare services for the public in the health sector.
  • In Sagaing Region, there were public protests in great momentum. As for other states and regions, they had very few. In Yangon, Mandalay, Mawlamyein and Magwe, there were guerrilla revolution and clearance activities of junta-pillars.
