The National Unity Government (NUG)

· In Sagaing Region, Salingyi Township People’s Administration sent brochures to 96 local schools for preventive measures against air strikes and for bomb shelters.

· In Pinlebu Township of Sagaing Region, Local People’s Administration Team provided support to the fire victims, the elderly and the displaced people on Wednesday.

· On Tuesday, the District Coordination Committee on Emergency Administration announced that the townspeople can return home in Kawlin.

· At 1:00 pm Thursday, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Township People’s Administration Teams from Mandalay Region and Magwe Region.

· In a press conference on Wednesday, Minister of Planning, Finance and Investment-NUG stated that 10% of the shares from Spring Development Bank would be sold.

· According to Special Operation Force-NUG, nearly 30 junta soldiers gave up arms in the 6-day battle at Chaung Hna Kwa on the border of Mon State and Kayin State.

Revolution Activities

· In Magwe Region, local PDF conducted a mine attack on a junta convoy of 4 military trucks on their way to Taungdwingyi.

· In Pakkoku Township, local PDF attacked the junta inspection gate in Pandiechone Village. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers died.

· In Pauk Township, there were attacks on the junta police station and Pyusawti in Zeebya Village. Reportedly, 32 junta members died whereas 21 PDF members lost their lives.

· In Paungty Township of Bago Region, local PDF attacked using a sniper troops on their way to invade Kyogone Village Tract. Reportedly, a junta soldier was hit with a bullet and died.

· Until Tuesday, there were battles between Naypyidaw PDF and the junta army looking for missing pieces of a crashed plane.

· The United Nations Secretary General called for free entries to all the routes to provide humanitarian aid and essential services in the deteriorating conflicts of Myanmar including Rakhine State.

· In Thabaitgyin Township and Madayar Township of Mandalay Region, 3 village administrators from Union Solidarity and Development Party were shot dead within a day amidst military tension and heavy fighting.

· In Karenni State, 22 civilians including 5 children lost their lives in battles in Loikaw for two days.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· The Deputy Commander in Chief of Karenni Nationalities Defence Force stated that they managed to gain control of Loikaw University Campus, where the junta armed forces had stationed.

· In Northern Rakhine State, the junta policemen from Pauktaw Myoma Police Station defected to Arakan Army (AA). On Thursday morning, the AA took control of the police station.

· In Theinni Township of Northern Shan State, Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) attacked and took control of Manlwin Camp belonging to the junta’s Militia on Wednesday.

· In Falam Township of Chin State, the Commander in Chief of Chin National Army (CNA) himself led the battle to seize the town of Rikhawdar.

The Military Council

· According to Myanmar’s Labour Diplomatic Office, Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand who have lost Certified Identity (CI) can reapply for passports.

· In the video released by the KNDF, a junta captain named Kaung Myat Ko stated that they had to give up arms as the supporting troop did not show up despite the request to the military junta.

· In the southern part of Rakhine State, the military junta has arrested local people on a daily basis after the attacks on the junta posts. Within three days, no less than 55 civilians have been caught.

· In Yangon with limited access to fuel oil, the military junta took action against 3 fuel oil shops for no sale.

· A week after the meeting of the National Defence and Security Council, the junta leader removed U Myint Swe, the Chair of Kokang Self-Administered Division, and replaced him with Bri-Gen Tun Tun Myint.

Summary on 17 November

· In most battlefields, the junta armed forces have had a great loss. They have been conducting air strikes targeting civilians and the displaced people. In the future, the military junta will be held accountable for that.

· Due to the mismanagement of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, fuel oil has run out. Saying that this is due to the misconduct of business people, the military junta is taking action against the dealers.
