National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management stated that NUG has supported IDPs with a total of over 3,600 lakhs last month, January.
  • The Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the UN, U Kyaw Moe Tun requested to see the violence committed by the fascist military at the UNSC anti-violence meeting on February 14.
  • Revolution Activities
  • At a Kaung Let Yar tea shop situated on the corner of Aung Thiri street and Dhammayone street, 7 east quarter, in Tharkayta Township, Yangon, a man having tea was shot dead at around 10:30 a.m. on the morning of February 15, according to the residents near the crime scene.
  • There were three explosions at the electricity office in Thudama street, north Oakkala, Yangon at around 8:40 p.m. on February 14, according to locals.
  • A woman in a car was shot and critically wounded by junta troops for no sound reason near AYA’s head office, at the Thittaw bus stop, in Alon Township, Yangon region at about 10 p.m. last night.
  • No. (70) quarter office in south Dagon Myothit, Yangon region was bombed by the SSUG PDF together with Black Peacock at 5:30 p.m. on February 14.
  • A police lieutenant colonel, Zaw Win Ko who is serving in Insein CID office, Yangon, was arrested by the military junta on February 8 and his family members have had no contact with him until now, according to his acquaintances.
  • In Inmahtee village, Pale township, Sagaing, the junta’s Pyu Saw Htee training was attacked by local PDF forces. The fighting lasted two hours, it killed three SAC soldiers and injured several soldiers at 5:00 p.m. on February 14, according to PRA.
  • In Pale township, Sagaing, some people saying they are from the Pa Ka Pha and PDF are trying to extort money by threatening the lives of the locals. They will be revealed and punished. On February 15, Pale PDF told locals to inform them if they had been threatened.
  • The junta troops stationed at a school in Nagamataung village, in Pale township, Sagaing Region for 8 days since February 7 wrote foul language on the school walls, according to PRA.
  • In Htee Chaint township, Sagaing region, a convoy of 33 vehicles including an SAC armoured car was attacked with over 20 mines by a local PDF, killing several SAC soldiers, Htee Chaint news resource stated.
  • In a rally of several villages from east Yinmarpin and north Salingyi, in Sagaing Region, went on strike against the fascist military on February 15.
  • In east Yinmarpin, Sagaing, the people protested against the junta on February 15.
  • The police station and district office where over 100 military soldiers were stationed were attacked with heavy artillery shells and drone bombs by the Chindwin Attack force, from February 12 to 14. No less than 30 soldiers were injured, according to a CAF statement.
  • The military soldiers who burned down Ka Paung Kya village, Taze township, Sagaing were attacked with mines several times and 20 SAC soldiers died, according to a local PDF.
  • The military troops and Pyu Saw Htee burned down houses in Phalan Chaing and Chaungsone village, Taze township, Sagaing.
  • The Tha Pyay Nyo guerrilla group against the military junta in Sagaing completed training No. 6 on February 15 morning.
  • MOD under NUG gave over 221 lakhs supported the People’s Defense Force of Zomi (Zomi PDF), which is doing military activities in Kalay town and Chin State, for the third time by giving them over 221 lakhs on February 12.
  • Three allied groups of the PDF in Nay Pyi Taw did military operations and warned the staff working for the military to withdraw.
  • The USDP office in Tatkone, Nay Pyi Taw was attacked with bombs at 7:00 p.m. on February 14 and the junta shot indiscriminate gunfire, according to locals.
  • Youths from different religions in Mandalay campaigned to ask for Telenor Telecom to protect the data of its users and to stop the sale of the company to the Shwe Byine Phyu business which is clodely related to the junta. They called on the Norwegian government and Telenor not to sell to the military-related business.
  • The four buildings of the MCDC, non-CDM staff apartments and the junta support office in 36 street, between 69th and 70th streets, Maharaungmyay township, Mandalay were attacked by the MPR on February 14.
  • In Hpakant, Kachin state where the internet services were cut off, the locals protested against the military junta and held a ceremony to support the KIA, PDF and NUG on February 15.
  • A bomb exploded at a football field in Ban Maw Township, Kachin where the SAC was planning to hold a sports competition on the evening of February 14, according to locals.
  • Three locals got injured in a bomb explosion on San Pya Road, in the Dukahtaung quarter of Myitkyina, in Kachin State at 7:00 p.m. on February 14, according to locals.
  • A convoy patrol of the Northern Regional Military Command area was attacked with mines in Tatkone Ingyandon quarter of Myitkyina, in Kachin State at around 10 p.m. on February 14, according to locals.
  • Longlon BEHS students’ union held a demonstration where they held anti-junta posters in Taninthary on February 15.
  • Women held a rally against the military junta in Tha Yet Chaung township, Dawei district, Taninthary on February 15.
  • The strike committee in Tha Yet Chaung Township, Tanintharyi Region staged a protest against the junta, holding anti-junta banners.
  • Marching military troops were attacked with mines by Saw PDF and its allied groups in Saw township, Magway.
  • There were continuous intensified clashes between February 11 and 13, killing 25 junta soldiers, stated Saw PDF.
  • The YDF based in Hteelin, Magway invented successfully tested heavy artillery somewhere in the forest on the morning of February 15.
  • People from Tachileik went on a cursed strike against Min Aung Hlaing in a cemetery after he visited Kyaington, in eastern Shan state on February 15.
  • The LPDF from Myawaddy went on a strike against military slavery education at No. 2 friendly bridge where the junta soldiers were stationed on February 14.
  • A woman who was shot and arrested was in an emergency condition of stomach and gall bladder in Dawei prison, stated the DPPN.
  • Fortify Rights stated in February that the violent junta killed the civilians and used them as human shields in the east of (Kayah) Karenni State. It was a war crime.
  • Burma Campaign UK requested that the Pakistani prime minister, Inmaran Khan stop selling weapons to the junta.
  • The deaf and dumb across the country joined an online campaign, asking for Telenor to stop the sale of Telenor Myanmar to a military-backed company, on February 15.
  • Guys from Chin will perform a fund-raising online show, for Myanmar war refugees, to a European audience at 8:00 p.m. on February 16 (1.30 am Myanmar standard time) on February 17.
  • UNICEF stated that half of Myanmar’s population would become poorer this year.

EAOs

  • KNLA No. 5, Senior General Saw Mu He said that the SAC only offered peace negotiations because it was being beaten by the PDF.
  • SAC camps in Tadaoo to the east of Phapon, Mare Wine in Khu Thu Htar and the Thu Mwe Hta north base, all in Karen State, were attacked. Seven SAC soldiers were killed and four were injured, according to the KNU Mutraw News.
  • The KHRG said that Karen people fled to safe areas for two months and dared not go back home due to the fighting in Lay Kay Kaw, a KNU controlled area.
  • SAC troops sending rations to Ka La Ya (268) in Phalan, Chin State stepped on mines set by CNDF and about three soldiers died and several others were injured, said the CNO.
  • There had been two intense clashes between SAC troops and the CDF in Mindat, near to Wamathu village in Mindat Township, Chin state. The SAC fired heavy artillery and PDF forces told the villagers to hide in safe holes and shelters.
  • A convoy of 23 vehicles heading to Tetain from Phalan, Chin State was attacked with mines by Zoland and the CDM Siyin group near Zawngkong village. 10 SAC soldiers died and several soldiers were injured, said PDF Zoland.
  • The military soldiers from Phalan, Chin stole 160 lakhs from farmers that they had borrowed from the Green Village Project, the Chin National League stated on February 15.
  • In east Longgyi, Mu Pan Theini district, in Kokant region No, 1, there was intense fighting between the SAC and the MNDAA that killed 8 military soldiers and one from the MNDAA.

Military Junta

  • The coup leader, Min Aung Hlaing visited Kyaingtone, east Shan state on February 14.
  • As the ASEAN ministers’ meeting went against the policy of equal right for ASEAN countries to attend the meeting Myanmar will not send a representative the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the military said, on February 14.
  • It was announced that doctors giving treatments in five OPDs in Yangon general hospital under the junta were suffering from COVID-19 and those departments will be temporarily closed.
  • Dr. Zaw Myint Maung, the prime minister of Mandalay was sued for two cases. He was accused of electoral fraud and he will be sentenced for one case on February 16, according to a news source from Obo prison.

Summary on February 15

  • People administration groups in Chin State, Kayah State, and Sagaing Region can manage almost 100% of the administrative machinery as the revolution grows stronger and stronger. The SAC will try to influence the areas in those states and regions with failed administrations in different ways. The fighting between PDFs and the military will be more intense in those areas.
  • Revolutionary activities were still in great momentum all over the country. The momentum of revolutionary activities against the military junta will never stop, even though the junta’s violence happens every day.
