The Military Council

  • According to the junta newspaper, Dr. Htay Aung, the junta minister of Hotel and Tourism, discussed with hotel owners to reopen Ngapali Beach and inspected hotel renovation works.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing met with H.E.Mr.Yohei SASAKAWA, special envoy of the Japanese government to Myanmar National Reconciliation and Chair of the Nippon Foundation, in Nay Pyi Taw.
  • According to the junta media, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Kyu Kyu Hla offered Kahtein robes to monks led by the abbot of Pauk Myaing Monastery in Lewe Township of Nay Pyi Taw.
  • The military junta would organize Ngapali Autumn Beach Festival in compliance with COVID-19 preventive measures.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the organization of city taxi owners in Yangon would be established with the leadership of the junta YRTC.
  • According to Ayeyarwaddy regional police community, people would be investigated regarding the case in which a pregnant woman had died.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Defence- NUG sent a congratulatory statement that the Chinland Joint Defense Committee (CJDC), comprising township and local defence forces, was established on 30th September for the end of the military dictatorship, building federal democracy and effective chains of communication and operation in warfare activities.
  • Dr. Sasa, Minister of International Cooperations- NUG, made an appeal to Security Council saying that it was essential to declare Myanmar to be a no-fly zone until the adoption of democracy following the public’s desire. He also expressed that the whole country called for taking action effectively, relieving the troubles of the Myanmar people and putting an end to the violence of the junta army.
  • The public has been taking part in the People’s Defensive War. According to the NUG, 80 junta soldiers died and 9 others were injured on Saturday.
  • At 4:00 pm Saturday, Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) had a virtual meeting with Kachin Political Interim Coordination Team (KPICT). According to CRPH, they had an open discussion on activities for federal democracy.
  • According to the Ministry of Defence- NUG, 5 soldiers and 4 police members made contact on Sunday to join the public as they could no longer accept the military dictatorship.

Revolution Activities

  • In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army raided Mayanin village on Saturday morning and shot dead U Tha Aye, a 65-year old man who was cutting grass for cattle food on the entrance to the village, for no apparent reason.
  • In Aungtha village of Khin-U Township, the junta armed forces raided 3 houses and a shop at about 11:00 am Sunday. According to local residents, those soldiers took away money from the collection box of the shop and other things worth over 2 lakh MMK.
  • As 280-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • As 249-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East conducted a march against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, local people marched for the NUG and the downfall of the military dictatorship on Sunday morning.
  • In Nyaungle village of Ye-U Township, a troop of about 150 junta soldiers on foot was attacked with 3 variety mines at about 9:00 am Sunday. According to a member of YE-U Urban Guerrilla (YUG), at least 5 junta soldiers died.
  • On Pale-Gantgaw road, a troop of about 80 junta soldiers on foot was attacked by PDFs at about 1:30 pm Saturday. According to Ko Japan from PRA, many junta soldiers died.
  • In Aklui khua village of Titain Township in Chin State, three junta soldiers committed rape many times against a mother of 3 children, including a one-month-old baby, in front of her husband on Friday night.
  • On Sunday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • According to an associate, the junta army arrested 13 young people from Naungyoe Urban Guerrilla Group by setting a trap and ill-treating them in the investigation.
  • Hanging a banner at the school wall- ‘We, our generation, will break the system of studying by heart for exams’, students of No. (24) high school in Mandalay sprayed red paint describing slogans against slavery education of the military junta.
  • According to local residents, a man in Wandwin, allegedly an informer to the junta, was shot dead at about 9:00 am Sunday.
  • In Aungmye Thazan Township, there was a bomb attack at Kyauk Thabait police camp in Minte Ikin Ward for the second time on Saturday night.
  • On Sunday morning, Myaing Township Basic Education General Strike Committee and the public marched against the military dictatorship.
  • According to local residents, it might be the junta people who were responsible for the fire to most shops in Natmauk market in Magwe Region on Saturday night.
  • In Kamma of Thayet District, some houses of those under the charge with Section (505-a) were sealed off on Saturday.
  • In Shwepyitha Township of Yangon Region, U Tin Mg Than, hundred-household leader in Ward (4), was shot dead by an unknown group on Sunday afternoon.
  • On Sunday, there were protests against the military dictatorship in Yangon, hanging anti-junta posters at Pansodan overhead bridge in the downtown area and another overhead bridge in Mingaladone Township.
  • In Thingangyun Township, youth carried out a movement against slavery education of the military junta at No. (3) primary school and No. (1) high school on Sunday.
  • According to a combined force of SHED and R.G.A, they conducted 3 explosions at the North Dagon police station. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died in the incident.
  • In Tontay Township, a man who boasted himself as a bullet-proof person, allegedly junta informer, was shot dead.
  • Amidst tight security measures of the junta army, Mingaladone Township Students’ Union hung an anti-junta banner at an overhead bridge on Sunday morning.
  • In Pha-Kant Township of Kachin State, local people protested against the military dictatorship on Sunday whereas KIA attacked and took control of the junta camps.
  • In Kayar (Karenni) State, a soldier from the junta engineering army joined Karenni National Defence Force B02 in Loikaw Zone.
  • In Lekaing village of Ywangan Township in Shan South, a farmer named Ko Phyo Phyu was shot dead on the spot by the junta armed forces at about 11:00 pm Saturday.
  • In Waw Township of Bago Region, there was a bomb explosion near Gwegyi village administration office at about 8:30 pm Saturday. After the incident, the junta army arrested 5 local residents by force.
  • In Taungnyo Myothit of Nattalin Township, members of local police station opened gunfire. Consequently, a 13-year old child was hit with a bullet and sent to a hospital.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • According to Kachin sources, KIA attacked 3 junta camps; Awng Len, Seng Ja and Ga Hkyeng: near Nanjan village in Pha-Kant Township of Kachin State on Saturday evening. Reportedly, they managed to take control of those camps on Sunday morning.
  • After KIA took control of the junta camps in Pha-Kant Township, the military junta used fighter jets for their attack at about 9:00 am Sunday. In addition, they shot mortars from strategic hills.
  • In Pha-Pun District under the control of KNU Regiment (5), there was fighting between a combined force of the junta army + BGF and KNLA near Watoko village at about 9:00 am Saturday. Reportedly, 2 BGF members were injured and died on their way to Myeingyingu hospital.

Summary on 15th November

  • In Sagaing, Chin and Kayah, local defence forces had strong networks and carried out battles. Supposedly, they might be able to make regional networks soon for warfare activities. On the other hand, the public’s contribution plays a key role in their weapons.
  • In those areas, the military junta had a great loss and thus, they destroyed public’s houses and took away valuable things. As revenge among the public, they also used junta informers and Pyusawti members in violent activities at NLD and Daw Khin Kyi Foundation offices.
  • Due to attacks of the junta armed forces targeting civilians, thousands of local residents in Sagaing Region had to run away.
  • Despite arrests, public protests and guerrilla revolution had great momentum in Yangon and Mandalay. The same was true for Kachin, Mon, Ayeyarwaddy, Bago, Dawei and Magwe.
