The Military Council

  • U Hla Soe, the junta chief minister of Yangon Region, said that help would be provided if artists had difficulties.
  • The military junta would lead the celebration of 74th Independence Day in 2022.
  • According to the junta newspaper, there have been discussions between Russia and Myanmar with regard to investment for hydro-power and sub-power stations in the country.
  • According to the junta media, the junta Ministry of Planning and Finance will draw up annual plans and budgets for 5-year short-term projects.
  • According to the junta newspaper, middle school and high school students in Nay Pyi Taw are getting vaccinated.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Dr. Win Myat Aye, Union Minister of the NUG, said that they managed to support 95% of the people who were in trouble due to the military junta.
  • Surgent Zwe Man, who was honoured with the title of Thura at Ka-Ma-Ya (5) Ta-Ma-Ka (66), left the junta army and turned into a people’s soldier.
  • The public have been taking part in the People’s Defensive War. According to the NUG, there were attacks on 18 military targets of the enemy, 20 administration targets and 3 business targets on Tuesday.
  • The NUG announced that they called for the action of the international community at the 3rd committee meeting on human rights protection and promotion under the 76th General Assembly to put an end to the inhumane activities of the Myanmar Army and hold them accountable for their actions.
  • In his speech, U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the UN, said that the NUG accept the verdict of ICC and that they have been joining hands with the UN organizations, including the Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar.
  • Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Risks Management announced that those in states and regions with a strong invasion of the junta armed forces had to suffer more and they were badly in need of humanitarian assistance. Although the ministry is giving priority to such people for support as much as possible, there are still many to help.
  • Kayan Township Public Administration Team announced on Tuesday that the interim administration for Kayan Township was newly established.

Revolution Activities

  • In Pale Township of Sagaing Region, 30 junta soldiers were attacked with mines by local PDF beyond Wanbyin village at 9:40 am Monday. PPDF released a video in which almost all of the junta soldiers died.
  • On Wednesday, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Tantsi Township, Myint Ngwe; father-in-law of a policeman, Aung Swe; USDP member, and his son Pho Chin were shot on Kabe-Beyin at about 8:45 am Wednesday. Reportedly, the first two men died and the last one was seriously injured.
  • In Ye-U Township, Ma Cho Cho Win and Ma Htay Lin, two women from Wetphyu village and allegedly junta informers, were shot dead at about 9:00 pm Tuesday.
  • In Chaung-U Township, Tin Htay, Pyusawti member in Matitha village, was shot dead by 27 Revolution Force on 9th October.
  • In Monywa, Aung Si, owner of Kaunglyan betel shop and allegedly a junta informer in industrial zone area, was shot dead by PDF South Monywa and Thunder Group at about 11:00 am Wednesday.
  • In Shwebo Township, local people marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • On Wednesday morning, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Kalay, 4 junta soldiers beat and kicked a mentally-ill person for no apparent reason on the sidewalk at the crossroads of Bogyoke and Natchaung at 7:30 pm Tuesday.
  • On Wednesday morning, Monywa Township Basic Education Students’ Union marched at markets and street-corners in the wards, scattering leaflets for the public’s unity in the fight against the military dictatorship and support for PDFs.
  • In Kawkarait District of Kayin State, a combined force of women - Iron Roses - led an anti-junta movement on Wednesday.
  • In Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region, Hla Toe, Shwekanphyu village administrator, and his son were shot dead by Bad Guys with Good Hearts and MGN Tiger on Tuesday night.
  • In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, anti-junta youth and students conducted a guerrilla protest on Wednesday, chanting that they stand with ethnic people under oppression.
  • According to local Residents, Myo Naing, an armed Pyusawti leader in Kayan Township, was shot dead on Wednesday noon.
  • In Konetha village of Kayar (Karenni) State, a mine had been left unexploded in the fighting between the junta army and combined Karenni forces. Reportedly, it exploded on Wednesday morning and 3 people were injured.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, two military trucks were attacked with mines by PDF Alliance near Shwechaung village at about 8:30 am Wednesday. Reportedly, a junta soldier died and 4 others were seriously injured.
  • At about 9:00 pm Tuesday, local PDF attacked and set fire to Zebya police station between Myaing Township and Pauk Township. Reportedly, 2 policemen might have died and a lot of others might have been injured.
  • In Shan North, Namkam townspeople marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday morning, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Chin State, the dead bodies of two villagers were found at Tinru camp in Tuphei village on Kalay-Phlan road. According to local residents, the junta army were responsible.
  • To reopen Mindat-Matupi road in Chin State within 3 days, a large number of the junta armed forces left Pakkoku for Mindat together with machinery. According to local residents, there were announcements in Matupi that not only legal action but also military action would be taken against those who disturb road-clearance activities.
  • The deaf or hard-of-hearing people joined the campaign on International Day for Disaster Risks Reduction.
  • CDM captain Lin Htet Aung told the public to boycott military products, stop cash flow to the military junta and join the Blood Campaign.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • On Wednesday afternoon, there were exchanges of fire between the junta army and a combined force of CAN+CDF on Phlan-Hakha road-section.
  • According to a KNLA source, a convoy of military trucks was attacked with mines by KNLA Regiment (1) in Kyaikto Township of Mon State at about 12:00 pm Tuesday. Reportedly, 13 junta soldiers died and 4 others were injured.
  • In Kawkarait Township of Kayin State, there was fighting between the junta army + BGF and a combined force of KNLA+DKBA+Eagles near Ywathit village from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm Tuesday. Reportedly, at least 4 junta soldiers died and many others were injured.

Summary on 13th October

  • To regain influence, a large number of the junta armed forces have been conducting an invasion in Chin State. From their perspective, the area of CNA is the key for control of the north west region.
  • After administrators resigned in Kayan Township of Yangon Region, a public administration team was established. Consequently, the junta armed forces might conduct extreme violence in that township in the days to come.
  • As for Yangon, Mandalay, Sagaing, Magwe, Mon and Shan, they had protests against the military dictatorship as well as frequent activities of junta-pillar clearance and guerrilla revolution.
