Yangon Region

  • In Dala Township, anti-junta youth and students expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Friday morning.
  • In North Okkalapa Township, local residents said that explosions were heard in Shwe Paukkan Ward (20) at about 2:00 pm Friday.
  • In Hlaing Township, a second sergeant from traffic police force was stabbed five times at Thiri Mingala new market at about 1:00 pm Friday. According to local residents, he was likely to die of the knife wounds.
  • In South Okkalapa Township, South Okkalapa Students’ Union (Ba-Ka-Tha Central) led a protest against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In Thingangyun Township, the junta armed forces arrested U Ant Kyaw, chair of NLD in Thutwinegyi Ward, at his house.
  • In Mingala Taung Nyunt Township, the junta armed forces raided a pharmaceutical warehouse on 91 street the previous day. Reportedly, they confiscated some medicines.

Mandalay Region

  • On Thursday, Pyi/Gun rally, led by Pyigyi Dagun Sayardaw, conducted a night strike against the military dictatorship.
  • On Thursday night, Mandalay Monks’ Union recited Parittas for the public as usual and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • On Thursday night, a rally of Mandalay Force marched against the military watchdog.
  • Amidst violent crackdowns on protests by the junta armed forces in plain clothes, a rally of Mandalay Monks’ Union expressed their objection to the military dictatorship as their 186-day protest on Friday.
  • On Friday, a rally of Mandalay people expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • On Friday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • On Friday morning, Myataung rally marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • On Friday morning, a rally of Aungmye Thazan Schools expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • As the generation for repayment of bloody debt, a rally of Mandala University Students protested against the military dictatorship on Friday morning.
  • In Myingyan, a baby died in the firing by the junta armed forces and Pyusawti members in Ward (4) on Thursday morning. Regarding it, Myingyan Guerrilla Force announced a special warning to the junta and their associates.
  • On Friday, a rally of various religions in Mandalay led a march against the military dictatorship.

Sagaing Region

  • In Yinmabin Township, two military trucks from Pale Township were attacked with mines by Yinmabin PDF at the divergent point of Phoewin mountain at about 2:00 pm Thursday. According to the source of Alaungdaw Katthapa area, more than 20 junta soldiers died and those two military trucks were burnt due to with explosions.
  • There was a fighting between PDF Kalay and the junta armed forces on the border of Kalay Township and Chin State. PDF Kalay officially announced that 3 junta soldiers died.
  • In Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship in a village on Friday.
  • On Friday morning, a rally comprising various villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • In Kalay, the students and the public went around the town on Friday morning and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.

Magwe Region

  • On Friday morning, anti-junta people conducted a “Sharing is Caring” campaign in a northern village of Myaing Township, distributing basic food items and vegetables.

Taninthayi Region

  • In the eastern area of Dawei, young residents led a night strike against the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • In Longlone Township, young people expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship in Lower Yebyu village on Friday.

Chin State

  • On Friday, the junta army in two different groups made invasions to attack Mindat CDF.
  • On Wednesday night, a drone of the junta army, which had been shooting videos and detecting CDF activity, was shot down.

Kachin State

  • In Pha-Kant Township, Lonekhine residents went around the village on Friday morning and protested against the military dictatorship. They also expressed their support for the NUG.

Bago Region

  • In memory of Ko Htet Myet Kyaw and Ko Phyo Waiyan Kyaw who were killed by the junta armed forces 5 months ago, Pyi Basic Education Students’ Union expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Friday, chanting anti-junta slogans.

Summary on 13th August

  • In Yangon, public protests were powerful and so were revolution activities. As for the junta armed forces, they have been conducting raids and arrests frequently.
  • In Mandalay, various rallies still marched against the military dictatorship. They had never lost their momentum since the beginning of Spring Revolution.
  • In Sagaing Region, public protests had great momentum and so did armed revolution. The guerrilla revolution of local PDFs gained success. Consequently, the junta armed forces might conduct more oppression in the region.
  • In Kayar and Kayin states, there were battles as the junta armed forces made invasions. Consequently, there might be more IDPs.
  • As for other states and regions, they had almost no protests.
