The Military Council

  • The military junta couldn’t sell a lot of Aungbalay lottery tickets. They need technology to sell them online. The junta newspaper contained an advertisement calling for companies or organizations which would like to provide technical support to them.
  • In the inspection tour at Nay Pyi Taw new locomotive production factory, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the railway sector had more than 100 years of experience and thus, they must be able to build locomotives and other train coaches locally.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the meeting of economics ministers from Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar, chaired by Myanmar in turn, successfully came to an end.
  • According to the junta media, Dr. Htay Aung, the junta minister of Hotel and Tourism, encouraged the director general and other responsible personnel attending the Seminar on ASEAN-Korea Tourism 2021.
  • The opening ceremony of 18th China-ASEAN Expo, which would be held in Nanning of Guangxi province in China from 10th to 13th September, was held at 9:00 am Saturday. According to the junta media, Dr. Pwint San, the junta minister of Trade and Commerce, attended it online.
  • On Thursday, Ministry of Planning and Finance informed the respective departments to repay the interest-free two-month loans given to government staff, starting from 1st October of 2021-2022.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG announced that the People’s Defensive War was taking place. Reportedly, attacks were made at 17 places targeting military operation of the enemy, 9 places targeting their administration and 5 places targeting their business on Thursday. In addition, there were peaceful protests against the military dictatorship in regions.
  • On Thursday, there was a virtual meeting under the theme - “From collective efforts of the Communist Party of China, in cooperation with political parties from Southeast and South Asia, towards development.” U Bo Bo Oo from the NLD joined it.

Revolution Activities

  • Yay Township PDF announced via social media that they, in cooperation with Yay Special Defence Force, conducted a bomb attack at Yay police station at about 6:30 pm Friday.
  • In Paung Township of Mon State, youth marched on Saturday calling for the official recognition of NUG at the United Nations.
  • On Saturday morning, a MyTel telecom tower was blown up in the south of Ingabo village in Kyaikhto Township.
  • On Saturday morning, the junta armed forces in a car made a crackdown on a protest near Chanthaya pagoda in Chanaye Thazan Township of Mandalay. Reportedly, a person died and two others were injured in the incident.
  • On Saturday morning, Kyaukse Defence Force threw a grenade into a house of former Senior General Than Shwe in Kyaukse.
  • On Saturday, a rally of Yadanabone University Students marched against the military watchdog.
  • On Saturday, Mandalay Monks’ Union marched for official recognition of the NUG at the United Nations.
  • Holding signs - “UN Accept NUG, Reject Military”, the students and the public from Maha Aungmye Township expressed their desire on Saturday afternoon for the recognition of the NUG and against the military dictatorship.
  • On Saturday, a combined rally of Mandala university students, Mandalay engineers, basic education students of No. (12) affiliate middle school and Mandalay people protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Ayadaw Township, a combined rally of villages expressed their objection to the military watchdog on Saturday.
  • In Mandalay, a rally of Ba-Ka-Tha (Central) led a march on Saturday, chanting slogans for unity of the public under the flag of armed revolution.
  • On Saturday morning, the students and the public from Sintkai Township, Palait Township, made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship. They also expressed their desire for supporting the NUG.
  • On Saturday morning, a rally representing the arrested, in cooperation with a rally of Aungmye Thazan Schools, expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • On Saturday, a combined rally of Phayagyi, Myataung and Chan/Zi in Unity marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • On Saturday morning, Mandalay youth took away the obstruction of barbed wire, set by the junta armed forces near the corner of city development office on 62 road. They then placed a banner at the crossroad - “No need to discuss for bloody debt”.
  • At about 11:00 pm Friday, 20 junta soldiers opened gunfire in Thanlyetmaw Eastern Ward of Maha Aungmye Township and arrested three young people.
  • In Ottara Thiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Force (5) and Baitthanoe PDF killed Khin Mar Htay, allegedly an informer to the junta in Maungyan village, at her house on Friday night.
  • According to a local resident, two young people, who were kneeling with bruises from torture and being tied with rope, were those from Sanpyi (6) mile in Karenni State.
  • In Shan South, Pekone PDF shot a 60 MM mortar into Pekone-based Ka-Ma-Ya (336) at about 11:00 am Saturday. Reportedly, it fell on the junta army and exploded.
  • In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, Naing Soe, Pyusawti leader aged 42 in Yautthwa-I village, was shot dead at about 2:00 pm Saturday while he was in the forest.
  • In Kantbalu Township, Sein Min aged 43, junta-appointed administrator in Tayawkai village, was shot dead when he took on responsibility as a Pyusawti leader.
  • At about 6:00 am Saturday, Shwebo PDF warned Ngwe Cho, allegedly junta informer in Ward (5), with 7 pistol gunshots. Reportedly, he was seriously injured.
  • According to local residents of Wetlet Township, Pho Khine, Pyusawti member in Mingone village, was shot dead on Saturday morning.
  • In Kalay Township, Win Mg, junta-appointed administrator of Natmyaung village, was killed at about 11:00 am Friday as he was on his way to the farm.
  • On Saturday, there was a powerful rally on Monywa-Amyint road for official recognition to the NUG at the United Nations.
  • In Yinmabin District, PDF members with Tumi guns, in cooperation with local residents, marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.
  • In Latbadaung area of Salingyi North, the public marched on Saturday for official recognition to the NUG at the United Nations.
  • On Saturday, a rally comprising various villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East expressed their desire for official recognition to the NUG at the United Nations.
  • In Latbadaung Taung area of Salingyi Township, local residents of Kyaukphyudine village marched on Saturday for official recognition to the NUG at the United Nations.
  • In Myaing Township, Basic Education General Strike Committee, in cooperation with the public from the northern zone, made a protest against the military watchdog at dawn Saturday, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • On Saturday, there was a march in a village of Shwebo Township for official recognition for the NUG at the United Nations.
  • In Butalin Township, local people expressed their objection to the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.
  • According to local residents, military-owned MyTel telecom tower was blown up by 2 mines at Yinbaungdie in Yinmabin Township on Friday night.
  •  In Khin-U Township, 5 MyTel telecom towers were destroyed on Friday night alone.
  • In Monywa, a rally of students and townspeople expressed their desire against the military watchdog on Saturday.
  • In Insein Township of Yangon Region, Pho Labyay, informer to the junta in Phawgan Ward, was shot dead in his head by United Democratic Force at about 2:30 pm Friday.
  • In Hlaing Township, there was a bomb explosion in front of the electricity department at 3:15 pm Saturday. According to local residents, the junta armed forces blocked off the streets and conducted inspections.
  • At Myanmar Plaza, anti-junta youth and Ta-Ka-Tha alumni carried out a guerrilla protest at about 1:00 pm Saturday, chanting slogans for victory of the revolution. Shoppers clapped in honor of them.
  • According to the Anti-Fascism Force, they conducted 11 attacks targeting the junta armed forces in Yangon Region in September. In the incidents, two buildings and two vehicles of the military junta were damaged. An informer to the junta died and some members of the junta armed forces were injured.
  • On Saturday, Dawei youth expressed their desire, with signs calling on people’s soldiers and police to join the public.
  • In Longlone Township, there was a march in Kanyonegyun village on Saturday for official recognition of the NUG at the United Nations.
  • In Longlone Township, a rally of Dawei District Democratic Affairs led a march on Saturday morning for official recognition of the NUG at the United Nations.
  • In Pwint Phyu Township of Magwe Region, local people protested against the military dictatorship, stepping on photos of Min Aung Hlaing and other junta leaders.
  • In Yezagyo Township, the junta armed forces entered Mau-Ale village on Saturday morning, opening gunfire wildly. They then went into the houses by force and inspected phones. Consequently, local residents had to run away.
  • In Phaya Thonesu of Kayin State, a rally of women marched on Saturday for the official recognition of the NUG at the United Nations.
  • On Saturday, comrades in free territory called for the official recognition of the NUG at the United Nations.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • According to KNU, local residents of Kyaukgyi Township were in panic as the junta army kept patrols on the streets and conducted more inspections of passers-by.
  • According to KNU, the junta army Ka-Ma-Ya (202) opened gunfire during the nights in Nyaung Chaung village of Paung Township. Therefore, local people were frightened.
  • In Karenni State, there was a fighting on Tuesday between the junta armed forces and a combination of Karenni forces on Loikaw-Dimawso road. KNDF announced that the army arrested an innocent villager from Sanpya 6 mile for no apparent reason, killed him by slitting his throat and burned his dead body.
  • General Aung Myat, deputy chief of Karenni Army, urged KNDF leaders to make careful supervision and to be in unity.
  • In Muse Township, MNDAA shot at a car carrying rations for the junta army between Tonekhan and Namtaung villages the previous day. Reportedly, the car crashed and turned over.

Summary on 11th September

  • In recent days, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing instructed to produce locomotives locally and to earn foreign currency from agriculture and livestock sector. Before that, he had told ministries to be thrifty. Assumingly, they were in financial hardships. What’s more, they had been inviting ICT companies to sell their lottery online, imitating the Spring Lottery.
  • In Yaw area, young people were killed ruthlessly the previous day. After that incident, there were more anti-junta movements all across Sagaing Region. Likewise, there were more clearance activities of business and administration pillars of the military junta.
  • Despite tight security measures in Mandalay, various rallies expressed their objection to the military dictatorship. A young protester died due to violent crackdown of the junta army in a car. Some people were also arrested. However, local residents continued to make protests at other places, risking their lives.
  • In Yangon, there were frequent activities of guerrilla protests and guerrilla revolution. As for Dawei, their public protests were on the rise again. There were also a few protests in Mon State. In the territory of KNU in Mon State, there were battles as the junta armed forces had been strengthening their power. As for other states and regions, they had a few protests and activities of armed revolution.
  • In Chin, Kayar, Kayin, Kachin and Sagaing, the revolution was powerful with strong network among forces. There were battles in those areas due to invasion of the junta army.
  • As for the NUG, they had been trying to gain legitimacy in international community. However, they were faced with criticism among the public as they failed to arm the people after declaring a resistance war. It happened after young people in Yaw area fought with whatever weapons they had and were killed due to the inequality in the power of weapons.
