The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The Ministry of Health-NUG has called for contributions to healthcare services including supporting IDPs.
  • On Friday, there was a statement by the signature of Daw Khin Ma Ma Myo, Minister of Economics and Commerce-NUG, that those working for the junta ministries were regarded as traitors against the country.
  • On Thursday, European Parliament announced their recognition that the CRPH, NUCC and NUG represent the Myanmar people.
  • A combined force of People Defense Force-Taloke and Natogyi People Defence Force called for public’s participation in fund-raising activities of the NUG.

Revolution Activities

  • In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces were attacked with mines by a combined force of local PDFs near Myautnone Village at 10:30 am Friday. Reportedly, 32 junta soldiers died and 9 others were injured.
  • Chindwin Yoema Alliance announced that the junta armed forces were using chemical weapons in battles in Yinmabin Township.
  • According to the leader of Yan Gyi Aung - PDF (Kani), they managed to produce 60 mm long range mortars.
  • In Wetlet Township, a local PDF attacked 2 military vessels going up Ayeyarwaddy River in the south of Ngabutchaung Village on Thursday afternoon.
  • According to Wetlet PDF, the junta army unsystematically buried dead bodies of 3 junta soldiers who had died in the battle near Taunggone Village.
  • As a 397-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Friday morning.
  • At about 8:30 pm Thursday, DK Urban Guerrilla conducted bomb attacks on Classic 3 mobile shop and C One 9 KTV selling products of the junta army In Nilar Oo Ward of Sagaing.
  • In Pale Township, the junta army set fire to Hnawyoe Village on Thursday night.
  • In Salingyi Township, 3 staff members of the general administration department, allegedly junta informers, were cleared off, according to Monywa Satan on Friday.
  • As a 366-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In Chaung-U Township, an alliance of local PDFs attacked the junta army and Pyusawti groups stationed in Kangyigone Village on Wednesday. According to Myingyan 35 Guerrilla Force, nearly 40 Pyusawti members died.
  • In Ye-U Township, the junta army advancing towards Pidagutgya Village was attacked with mines by local PDFs on Friday morning. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers, including a captain, died.
  • According to police sources, police officer Zaw Win Ko from Insein CIT was sentenced to 3 years in prison for writing a Facebook comment regarding the crackdown on a protest by military trucks on Panbingyi Street in Kyimyindine Township of Yangon Region.
  • On Thursday, U Mya Aye, a leader of 88 Generation Students who has been in detention since the military coup on 1 February 2021, was sentenced to 2 years in prison with the charge under Section 505-C.
  • In Kawhmu Township, a MyTel telecom tower in Obo Village was blown up at about 1:00 pm Friday. According to local residents, a person was injured in the incident.
  • In Mingaladone Township, there was a grenade attack on 14 Mile sub-power station in Zay Ward on Friday afternoon.
  • According to HTY Information, there was a bomb explosion an OMNI FOCUS YBS 20 bus, owned by the junta pillar Aye Nay Win, in Hlaingthaya Township at about 4:00 pm Friday while there were no passengers on it.
  • Somewhere in Yangon, youth from PBYSC conducted a silent strike against the military dictatorship on Friday, holding anti-junta signs.
  • According to Special Task Agency of Burma (STA), they set fire to an ATM of KBZ Bank near Thuwunna Supaung Stop at 4:30 am Friday.
  • In Hpakant of Kachin State, local people protested against the military dictatorship on Friday, banging pots and pans. They also showed their support for the KIA, PDF and NUG.
  • In Mandalay Region, a combined rally of Maha Aungmye marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Friday morning, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Patheingyi Township, there were bomb attacks at 3 places in relation to the military junta, including a township electricity office, on Friday morning.
  • In Amarapura Township, 2 hand-made mines exploded near Natyegan Village on Friday morning while a military convoy was passing the area.
  • In Dimawso Township of Karenni State, the junta air force dropped bombs at 4:00 am Friday. According to KNDF B-09, they lost a member.
  • In Dimawso Township, the junta army conducted bomb attacks four times in Dawyaughtku Village on Friday morning. Reportedly, a person died and houses were damaged.
  • On Thursday morning, Karenni combined force attacked the junta army stationed in Warisu Palai Village on Shan-Karenni border. According to the KNDF, a military truck was damaged.
  • On Friday, JPGF based in Pindaya of Shan South announced that they had carried out 4 missions in 3 towns.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, a junta soldier died at about 4:00 pm Thursday as he stepped on a mine. According to local PDF, 3 others died in an attack with mines while the funeral was carried out at Yesagyo Cemetery.
  • In Pakkoku District, a combined force of local PDFs attacked the junta armed forces setting fire to a village. Reportedly, 3 Pyusawti members were caught on Wednesday.
  • According to Yaw Area PDF (Tilin) on Friday, Tilin Township People’s Police Force was established with 20 police members who had joined the CDM.
  • In Ingapu of Ayeyarwaddy Region, Hlaing Win Aung, allegedly a Pyusawti leader in Tanbingone Village, was shot dead by a local PDF at about 3:00 am Friday.
  • In Myeik Township of Taninthayi Region, 20 junta soldiers in a military car and 2 motorbikes were attacked with mines by 3 local PDFs near Bemady Village and Kyauklonegyi Village on Thursday. Reportedly, 10 junta soldiers died.
  • According to local people, there were mine explosions near Kyauklonegyi Village in Myeik Township and near Mintain Village in Pulaw Township on Thursday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • PPST comprising the EAOs which have signed ceasefire agreement announced on Friday that they would have discussions over international efforts for resolving the political crisis in the country, including the trip of ASEAN Special Envoy and the trip of Japan’s Special Envoy.
  • In the area under control of the KIA Brigade (3), the junta army was attacked with mines by KIA in 3 places on Thursday.

The Military Council

  • At the meeting on the junta foreign policies on Thursday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that they had been practicing free and active foreign policy.
  • The junta election commission threatened that legal action would be taken against political parties which fail to be checked by the allotted deadlines.
  • Reportedly, over 300,000 students will take the matriculation exam organized by the military junta.
  • A confidential fax went viral in which the junta ministry of home affairs told police force to take security measures along the roads on which trucks carrying aviation fuel imported from Thailand would pass from 9 to 13 March.
  • The junta ministry of education instructed university administrations all across the country not to allow formation of students’ unions and to destroy everything related to them.

Summary on 11 March

  • Due to power blackouts of the military junta throughout the country, the public have to face frequent power outages. Consequently, they also have to face water shortage. Including extremely high costs of living, they have had to suffer from various hardships since the military coup.
  • Since the military junta seized power, the whole country has faced weak judiciary rule. As the number of various crimes rises all over the country, the public have great concerns about that.
  • In all parts of the country, the junta armed forces continued to commit war crimes openly by conducting air strikes, arresting anti-junta people, killing civilians and setting fire to villages.
