The Military Council

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that there was just a little disturbance at schools due to the protection of parents and the community. As for some places, they faced threatening acts and it was just stupidity against the education of students and trouble to the country.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the public were to reduce their consumption of sweets, alcohol and beer, in addition to rice and oil, so that they could meet life expectancy.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the public were to follow instructions of the Central Bank with regard to the payment system. He also said that there would be banking rules for private banks and the people would trust the banking system under the control of the Central Bank and the military council.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the military junta have been making arrangements to organize the 3rd Towards the Festival of Ethnic Siblings, a celebration started during the tenure of the NLD government with sales of traditional souvenirs and food.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Dr. Lyan Mone Sakaung, Minister of Federal Union Affairs-NUG, and U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights-NUG, have been in Sweden. Reportedly, they had a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Swedish Foreign Affairs and human rights personnel.
  • In accordance with the right to self-defence, the public have been taking part in the People’s Defensive War. According to the NUG, there were attacks on 13 military targets of the enemy, 16 administration targets and 1 business target on Tuesday.
  • In a statement to the UN Security Council, it was written that the NUG must be recognized as the official government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and immediate action must be taken to declare the junta army as terrorist organization.
  • Ministry of Defence-NUG announced that 6 soldiers and 6 police members made contact on Tuesday to join the public as they could no longer accept the military dictatorship.

Revolution Activities

  • In Dagon Township of Yangon Region, there was an explosion at a traffic police booth on the corner of U Taungbo street and U Visara street in Phayagyi Ward on Wednesday morning.
  • At about 7:40 am Wednesday, bombs exploded four times near the administration office on the side of Phonegyi road and Kanna road in Lammadaw Township. Reportedly, a car was burnt.
  • In Dagon Myothit Seikkam Township, Thein Zaw, administrator of Ward (88), was shot dead on Wednesday morning.
  • In Thonekwa Township, non-CDM teachers from basic education high school in Nyaungni village threatened parents that if they did not send their children to school this year, such students could not attend school for 5 more years.
  • In Hleku Township, there were two bomb explosions in front of an electricity office. According to local residents, the junta armed forces inspected those who had been there for payment of electricity bills.
  • At about 10:30 am Wednesday, there was a bomb explosion at the central building in Bogyoke Market. Reportedly, there were no casualties.
  • According to local residents, there was a bomb explosion near Yangon International Airport at 10:45 am Wednesday.
  • In Dibeyin Township of Sagaing Region, a truck carrying belongings of the police officers, who was about to be transferred to Ye-U from Saibyin police station, was hit with mines on Wednesday afternoon. According to local sources, it was burnt.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, local people marched for the NUG and against the military dictatorship on Wednesday morning.
  • On Wednesday, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East protested against the military dictatorship.
  • As a 276-day protest, Kalay people marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • In Chaung-U Township, two military trucks were attacked with mines. According to a local PDF, 12 junta soldiers died and some others were injured.
  • In Kyunghla Township, over 1000 residents of the villages near Thaphanseik dam have had to run away, including women, children and monks.
  • In Dibeyin Township, junta soldiers in 4 military helicopters landed and set fire to some houses in 3 villages.
  • In Pha-Kant of Kachin State, hundreds of local people marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • On 6th November, a soldier from the junta army, together with some weapons, joined Karenni Generation Z army (KGZ Army) as he could no longer accept the military dictatorship.
  • On Wednesday, local people offered Kahtein robes to the Mandalay Monks’ Union, who stand up for the truth. Then, the combined rally marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Mandalay, Chanmya Thazi Students’ Union led a movement, with lyrics of an anti-junta song by Wariru.
  • Regarding an attack on junta soldiers at Myingyan Taungtha tollbooth, the junta army tried to arrest a young man on Tuesday morning, accusing him of being a PDF member. As they did not find him, they caught his 5 siblings.
  • On Wednesday, Dawei youth conducted a movement, calling for a boycott against junta army products.
  • In Myeik, the military junta sealed off the house of U Myat Ko Ko, former chair of City Development Committee, and another house, saying that they had relations with PDFs.
  • According to local sources, a junta soldier named Min Min Soe raped a 62-year old woman in Kutkhine Township of Shan North on 7th November.
  • On Tuesday night, the junta army based in Pekone on Shan-Kayar border shot mortars at the centre of the town, causing damage to the Golden Heart Christian Church.
  • In Beelin Township of Mon State, U San Tun Oo, a USDP candidate for state-level MP in Zotethote village, was killed on Tuesday night.
  • In Kyaikhto Township, about 20 junta soldiers, security guards at MyTel telecom tower in Ingabo village, were attacked by local PDF at 5:30 am Tuesday. Reportedly, 6 junta soldiers died.
  • In Magyibin village of Ngapudaw Township in Ayeyarwaddy Region, Myat Zaw Win, police in charge of the area, opened fire in the village, saying that the sign-board of USDP office had gone missing.
  • In Pyi of Bago Region, there was a bomb explosion in the office of the Myanmar Farming Development Bank at 6:30 pm Tuesday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Mautaw Township of Rakhine State, there was a fighting between AA and the junta army in the mountains on Tuesday.
  • According to the Kokang media, there were battles between the junta armed forces and MNDAA in many areas of Shan North on 8th November.
  • Citing a spokesperson of MNDAA, the Kokang media said that the EAO ordered its 3 regiments in Monekoe area to retreat to reduce warfare tension against the junta army in Kokang area.

Summary on 10th November

  • At the time of difficulties to withdraw cash from banks, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing urged swift implementation of a banking system for transactions worth of over 200 lakh MMK to tighten and confiscate financial possessions of the public. It is likely there will be more hardships in terms of cash flow among the public.
  • In Sagaing Region, there were heavy battles. In Dibeyin area, the junta army used helicopters for their attacks. Bringing more junta soldiers, they set fire to villages. It seems that they have had a great loss there. Soon, guerrilla attacks in Sagaing area may turn into warfare activities.
  • Despite very few protests, guerrilla revolution gained momentum in Mandalay, Yangon, Sagaing, Mon, Ayeyarwaddy and Magwe. Due to the violent activities of the junta armed forces in the areas with peaceful protests, it seems to be a driving force for armed revolution.
