The Military Council

  • In a propaganda article by Aung Shin in the junta newspaper, he wrote that anti-junta youth were on drugs and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • Like the former military government, the junta Ministry of Information announced that books and journals (published works) must be submitted to the review team and their copies must be sent to the copyright and registration department.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the freshers’ welcome ceremony and opening ceremony of refreshers’ course was held for those who would serve the junta universities, colleges and basic education schools throughout the country.
  • Dr. Mg Mg Naing, the junta chair of Nay Pyi Taw Council, said that disorganized cattle farms in the area disgrace cleanliness and beauty of the city.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the military junta would offer degrees to a total of 138 monks from Yangon and Mandalay religious universities in 1379-80 academic years; 1 PhD candidate, 16 M.A candidates and 121 B.A Candidates.
  • Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, Kayin State Chief Minister, was sentenced to 75 years in prison and U Than Naing, Kayin State City Development Minister, to 90 years in prison.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG announced that the military junta, led by Min Aung Hlaing, were to immediately stop their crimes against humanity and that they were going to take action against their criminal activities.
  • According to the Ministry of Defence- NUG, 4 soldiers and 5 policemen made contact on Tuesday to join the public as they could no longer accept the military dictatorship.

Revolution Activities

  • YDF (Saw & Kyaukhtu) warned that they would take action against those who were taking advantage of food scarcity in Chin State and selling rice with extremely high prices in Yaw area.
  • On Sunday, there were two battles between the junta army and CDF Mindat on Mindat-Matupi road in Chin State. On the same evening, junta soldiers set fire to Ayetha village near Mile-post (23) and stole valuable things.
  • In Hakha, Pu Rual Cung, a 24-year old man and father of 3 children, had been arrested by the junta army for almost a month. As he passed away, his family had to conduct a prayer event without his body.
  • According to Mandalay-based PDF, a junta soldier who had taken a picture with the background of Tantalan on fire and posted it on social media lost his life in a battle in Chin State.
  • In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, there was a bomb attack at the camp of the junta army Regiment (435/436) at about 3:20 pm Tuesday. Reportedly, junta soldiers wildly opened fire into the wards.
  • In Kunchangone Township, a local resident of Daytanaw village, who had been arrested by the junta army, died on Tuesday morning. According to local sources, 9 others were also in critical condition.
  • NLF issued a warning on Tuesday that all ward administrators in Mayangone, Insein and Hlaing Thaya townships were to resign within 7 days and stand with the public.
  • In Kamayut Township, a woman named Daw Pya Gyi was shot dead in front of a religious hall in Ward (5) on Tuesday morning.
  • As 275-day protest, a rally of Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • In Tigyaint Township of Sagaing Region, local PDF conducted a bomb attack at junta soldiers in Kyaw tea-shop on the entrance to town at about 11:50 pm Monday. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died and many others were injured.
  • In Kawlin Township, the junta army ruthlessly killed 3 people, including a Kyay-In villager.
  • In the village of Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Tuesday morning.
  • In Dibeyin Township, the junta army stationing in the monastery of Wunyan village set fire to a pile of hay in the village at about 7:30 am Tuesday. Reportedly, houses started to catch fire.
  • According to a member of Pale PDF, over 80 junta soldiers on foot were attacked twice on Pale-Gantgaw road on Monday. Reportedly, many of them died.
  • In Mintaibin village of Pale Township, the junta army raided and destroyed the house of U Zaw Htet, an NLD MP, for the third time at about 5:30 pm Sunday.
  • In Yinmabin Township, there were clashes as over 200 junta soldiers conducted invasive attacks. According to a member of PDF, the battles might become heavier.
  • On Tuesday afternoon, Dawei youth expressed their desire against the military dictatorship, ‘Dawei to fight till the end’.
  • At about 3:30 am Tuesday, an unknown group of armed people raided Zeditataung police camp near Mile-post (110) on Yangon-Mandalay highway, shot dead 5 police and took away weapons.
  • Bago Regional PDF announced that it was them who had raided the police camp on Yangon-Mandalay highway, killing the police and confiscating weapons.
  • On Tuesday morning, Mandalay youth carried out an anti-junta movement, hanging a banner at traffic lights on the corner of Yan/Man road and Thaitpan road- ‘Who the hell dare to live on the opposite side of the public?’.
  • On Monday night, Myaing Township Basic Education General Strike Committee and local people marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Bogalay Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, there was a bomb explosion at the house of U Than Naing, junta-appointed administrator of Sainhai village group, at about 3:00 am Tuesday.
  • In Pathein, junta soldiers pretended to be students and company staff among the public all over the city to get information.
  • In Mawlamyeingyun, U Kyaw Tint Oo, leader of the people’s army and allegedly junta informer, was shot at about 9:00 pm Monday.
  • In Maungngan Ward of Mawlamyein, a former policeman was shot dead by a combined force of local revolutionary groups.
  • Due to battles in Shan North, trucks, cars and motorbikes were stuck in Thipaw and could no longer proceed to Namsam-Nammatu.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  1. In Bilin Township under the control of KNU Regiment (1), KNLA attacked a combined force of the junta army and BGF near Natgyi village on Tuesday. Reportedly, at least 2 junta soldiers died.
  2. According to the KNU source, junta soldiers on secret patrol on the Thantaung-Bawgali road section were attacked with mines in the Taungoo District of Bago Region. Reportedly, the military junta lost 3 soldiers.
  3. In the area under the control of RCSS/SSA in Shan South, RCSS members were helping residents with their harvest at paddy fields.

Summary on 10th November

  • In Kawlin, Tigyaint, Pale and Yinmabin of Sagaing Region, there were battles between local PDFs and the junta armed forces, causing a great loss for the military junta. In Pale Township, junta soldiers set fire to some villages, especially the houses of NLD members with prejudice.
  • As for other areas of Sagaing, they had public protests every day without fail. Therefore, it was one of the midland regions with the most powerful revolution.
  • In Chin, Shan North, Kayah and Kayin, there were battles against the junta army constantly. Despite fewer protests, the guerrilla revolution gained momentum in Yangon. As for Mandalay, Magwe, Dawei, Mon, Ayeyarwaddy and Bago, they had public protests and activities of guerrilla revolution.
