The National Unity Government (NUG)

· Acting President of the NUG stated that they had opened a new Facebook Page for the NUG Presidential Office.

· U Lwin Ko Latt, Union Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG, stated that at the time of frequent control on the junta army camps, they stand together with the comrades fighting on battlefields.

· U Yi Mon, Union Minister of Defence-NUG, called on those who are able to fight on the ground to be PDF members and those who are not ready yet for fighting to be PRF members.

· In cooperation with the People’s Committee under Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), Enlightened Burma Social Science Institute conducted a 6-day training on human rights via video conferencing.

· In Taungthaman Operation, Mandalay PDF caught 7 junta colonels alive.

· Acting President Duwa Lashi La called for a better balance between revolution and construction and for stepping up the revolution.

Revolution Activities

· In Pale Township of Sagaing Region, a shell fell and exploded in Tharyargone Village at about 10:00 am Sunday. Reportedly, 3 local women were injured.

· In Northern Shan State, more than 8,000 people have had to run away due to local battles between the Northern Alliance and the junta army.

· In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, a troop of PDF members got trapped near Shwe Hlan Village. However, they managed to escape due to the support of another PDF troop.

· In support of Operation 1027 by the three forces of Northern Alliance in Northern Shan State, anti-junta youth sang the song ‘Star’ on a YBS bus.

· In Shwebo of Sagaing Region, there were mine attacks on the junta trucks on patrol and the Union Solidarity and Development Party Office. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.

· In Monywa Township, there was an attack on a junta troop contingent near Fankhargyin Village. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers died.

· In Hpakant of Kachin State, there was a rally in support of Operation 1027 in Northern Shan State and against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.

· The Freedom Tattoo Campaign, led by Ko Htein Lin, younger son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, hopes to earn 100,000 Euro Pounds, and it is intended to help the displaced people and political prisoners.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· The military junta invited some former leaders of Karen National Union (KNU) to the 8th anniversary of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA). Taking advantage of their presence at the event, they spread the propaganda in the international assistance community as if the KNU accepted the NCA path. Regarding it, the KNU sent them an open letter of protest.

· In Lashio Township of Northern Shan State, the junta army had to face defeat on the ground, and they had to use the support of air strikes in the battle for Mai Kyat junta camp.

· On the fourth day of Operation 1027 on Monday, Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) and a combined force of revolution forces managed to take control of the way in and out of Theinni, a key area on the trade route on the China-Myanmar border. They then continued to fight the junta camps near the town.

· The Northern Alliance gained control of almost all junta army camps in Chinshwehaw in Northern Shan State. On Tuesday, local people started to return home due to less intense battles.

· In Kawkarait Township of Kayin State, there was a clash between the junta army and Saw Dragon Drone Force in Kawnwet Village. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers including a captain died and 15 others were injured.

· In Winemaw Township of Kachin State, Kachin Independence Army took control of Kandawyan Strategic Hill of the junta army near Myitkyina-Bamaw Road.

· According to the three forces of Northern Alliance, they have been conducting Operation 1027, not only in Northern Shan State, but also in Kachin State and Htigyaint Township of Sagaing Region.

· According to Ta’ang National Liberation Army, the whole junta army unit ran away as they approached a junta camp between Lashio and Theinni. Consequently, they took control of it with ease.

· In Kokang Area, the Commander in Chief of the MNDAA sent an open letter to the junta police and Border Guard Force not to cooperate with the military junta and to defect to the public in Kokang Special-Administered Division (1).

· In Karenni State, the junta army Ka-La-Ya (530) based in Loilinlay shot heavy artillery. Consequently, 5 people including a child aged 3 got injured.

The Military Council

· In Naypyidaw, the delegation led by Chinese People’s Security Minister H.E. Mr. Wang Xiaohong met with the military junta.

· In Ayeyarwady Region, 14 men were sentenced to death in September and October.

· In Mandalay Region, the junta soldiers have been taking position in various forms near Pyin Oo Lwin.

· U Thein Soe, Chair of the junta Union Election Commission, told registered political parties to open their offices in the specified time. He added that they would abolish the parties which do not have the specified number of members.

· Starting from 1 November, flight passengers from Yangon to Mandalay and vice versa must fill in arrival and departure forms.

· The junta Minister of Hotel and Tourism attended the event of presenting about the friendship trip for Myanmar-Russia Travel Promotion.

Summary on 1 November

· The KIA and the Northern Alliance have led the attacks on the junta army. Within four days, they have gained control of the junta camps and towns one after another. In some camps, the junta soldiers no longer defend their camp and they just run away. In other words, the junta army has been disorganized.

· With a large number of armed forces, the military junta has been preparing not to let go of Pyin Oo Lwin where there are military institutions. People will have to watch whether the junta soldiers could defend the town in reality.
