A school security guard was shot dead on 3 October in Ward 4 of Tharkaytha Township, Yangon Region for allegedly working as an informant for the military.

The 50-years-old man died from two gunshots to the head and chest.

On the same evening, an explosion occurred in this township, and the Burma Final Revolution Armed Forces claimed responsibility for the explosion.
