Resistance launches dawn attacks on Myanmar junta posts in northern Shan State

Revolutionary forces are attacking military council camps in northern Shan State, according to PDF Insight which reports local and military news.

Revolutionary forces simultaneously attacked army posts in various towns in Northern Shan State, including Lashio, Kutkai, Hsenwi, Tamo Ne, Namhpakka, Muse, Namhkam, Selan, Kunlong, Hopang, Chinshwehaw, and Laukkai starting at 4 am this morning, 27 October.

At present, PDF Insight has reported that the revolutionary forces have launched an attack on and successfully captured the junta's Pahungseik camp in Chinshwehaw.

In northern Shan State, Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) temporarily prohibited the use of two major roads, the Lashio-Chinshwehaw Road and the Lashio-Muse Road, starting at 6:00 this morning. There have been reports of a shooting incident occurring at a toll gate in Lashio.

The three northern alliances, which include the MNDAA, Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA), and United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA), have jointly launched coordinated attacks on army posts in northern Shan State.

The dawn assault launched by the joint forces against the regime has resulted in significant casualties on the junta side.

Based on local sources, it has been reported that over 20 junta security personnel have lost their lives in the attacks. The count is likely to be updated.
