Report on foreign oil and gas investments in Myanmar in the wake of the coup

Arakan Oil Watch is inviting those who are interested to join an online Zoom launch of a new report “Fanning the flames: Expansion of foreign oil and gas investments despite Burma's military coup.”

The launch and report will provide details about the expansion of international oil and gas companies in Burma since the coup, providing huge revenues to the regime, despite widespread calls for sanctions and the growing number of attacks against the military’s economic projects.

A presentation of the report will be followed by a Q&A session with individual interviews arranged on request. The launch will be held in Burmese with an English language PowerPoint and follow-up questions can be replied to in either English or Burmese.
