Rakhine chief minister’s daughter faces further charges

According to DVB Moe San Suu Kyi, the daughter of the ousted former Rakhine chief minister Nyi Pu, was charged by Kamayut Township Court under Sec. 17 (1) of the Unlawful Association Act on 8 March and her case will be heard on 15 March.

Moe San Suu Kyi is an NLD central youth affairs officer. She was previously charged with sedition under Sec. 505(a) and detained in Hledan, Yangon, on 9 March 2021.

Her father, Nyi Pu, who was sentenced to 11 years hard labour, is being held in Sittwe prison and is facing further charges
